Our asda have been great with my son who has arthritis. When we were waiting for his badge to come through I would phone up and they would hold me a space, and bring out the disabled child trolley thing. Really helpful and made such a difference at the time when we were still getting to grips with him not being able to walk.
Ive had people bound up to me all aggressive when ive parked and got out with no obvious disability. I try to calmly ignore them while I get DSs wheelchair out and lift him in. I hope they feel bad, this vigilante attitude stinks. With Sparkles! :happylove And Shiny Things!0 -

Sorry to go off topic again:o but dental checks and eye tests are free according to the BBC news site and prescriptions were due to be free within four years of a government announcement in 2007, so should be just another two years. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

I am a young lady of only 23, and have a blue Badge for a disability i suffer from. you can not say that because someone looks fit and healthy getting out of their car in a disabled spot that it's worng, and park there yourself! i have HS which is an illness you can not see, and may look fit and healthy but am in constant pain when walking, should i show this in my face just so that nosey people who do not have one can see i am deserving of one............?If you want to park in disabled spots and are not disabled, here you go take my illness and you can suffer with that too, I'd give anything to be able to park at the other end of the supermarket and skip accross the car park!!!!!My opinion is that, too many people have opinions about things they should just keep their nose out! if it doesnt affect you keep your nose out, i'd be more worried by the fact that you are getting so stressed about something when you dont even have a blue badge, don't worry about it!!!!!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 315Married 03/04/2010with many thanks to MSE Wedding boardLO 23/03/12 Special thanks to TTC thread0

I have a blue badge for my son who is 4 years old whose mobility is limited. When we park in a disabled bay we do get funny looks especially when they see kids get out the car. Its not just the elderly that need the badges0
