Dell Vostro vs XPS ?

I bought a Vostro 400 several months ago for the same reason that the price was lower for the same spec. At that time the Vostro was the same case as the Inspiron range, but in black instead of silver. The 410 appeared to be taller version of the 400 with an extra drive bay.
I notice that the 420 now has a new look with a smart glossy front. I would have thought it unlikely that Dell are phasing out the Vostro range if they have just restyled it, but what do I know? Perhaps the previous contact was referring to the 'style' that was being replaced?

One comes loaded with a load of stuff sensible people uninstall as soon as they get it (XPS) and the other comes with a Windows and drivers installation which is how it should be (Vostro). One also has a shinier lid, which shows scratches and greasy finger prints, and an XPS logo on.

Hmm I spy a Vostro fan?! Seriously that was exactly the type of reply I needed. So the XPS is loaded with crapware??I have a friend who usually sorts out my systems when I get them.

Thanks F1Charlie, but it was the laptop I was after , however that link did send me to some nice pics of the Vostro laptop here

Pretty much every Dell except the Vostro and business specific range is loaded with crapware.
