Dell Vostro vs XPS ?

Can 'normal' non business people buy from this site? I want a Vostro which they dont sell onthe main Dell site, but I am not a business person etc. so am I allowed to order from their business site?

Edit: Been looking around and can't find any helpful info about difference between Vostro and XPS (for the same spec) except the case on the Vostro isn't as good as the XPS. Can anyone else explain the £145quid price difference?

Thanks guys! That site is brilliant, I have found a few good deals on there, and one from the business site hence wanting to order from it!

Do you have any idea on the difference between identical specs on the Vostro and XPS (apart from the price!) - are XPS better quality or something?

  • You should get a good deal on the Vostro as they are phasing them out soon.

Thanks! I have created the same spec for a Vostro and a XPS by customising each, and the price difference between them is £145 (both including VAT and delivery)

Is the design of them different? I imagine the XPS to look sleeker? but I'm more interested in the spec than the look, so if there is a difference of £145 for no other reason than design, I know which one I'll be going for!!

Any idea why they are phasing them out?

I'm afraid not, it just came up in conversation with our Dell account manager when he was specing me with something for the house.

I notice they have just changed the Vostro 410 to a 420 model don't  know what they've changed with the model spec! I'm after one next time there's an offer on.

I imagine the Vostro's is cheaper because it has the cheapest case you can possibly imagine
