    I've been Money Tipped!
They were handing out vouchers at the door on the way in at our local store today.

I bought a DS game, got 10% off and 20% off bags of sweets.

When we went in they weren't handing vouchers out at the door. However, I knew there was something I was going to buy anyway, so tested on that. Worked a treat, so then we went round looking for gifts for little people and ended up filling our boots almost literally. Couldn't have carried more back to the car if we tried. Spent around 40 quid after discounts. And most of the items we bought were on half price anyway!

I printed a number of vouchers and gave them to various friends I met today so they can take advantage too. However we passed woolies later that day and there was a bright sparkly man handing them to everyone that looked like they were going into woolies.

Bought some chocies for the kids, some books, jigsaws and a few toys of interest for the monster. May pay another visit to a smaller local one next week.

  • my local one were walking around the car park today giving them out, had one already so got one for my mum.

I got a few good bargains today:
Brabantia 30l bin for £16 and bin liners 80p per pack of 40.
Thomas scooter £4! ex display although only has one sticker missing from it and not in a box.
    Thomas my first skates £4
Laundry basket £8 reduced from £50!

also got the 20% off the rest of my shopping, crisps, juice, christmas tat etc

So thank you so much to whoever posted it!!!
  • Someone posted about their paint your own mugs reduced from £5 to £1. Bought 2 and 1 other item in the 3 for 2 offer for £1.60!!Went along with my voucher with scepticism. Didn't see staff handing vouchers out or anyone with one in their hand so wondered if I'd have any problems, especially as they were poorly printed. However went to the cash desk, handed over the voucher first, she took one look at it, said thankyou and handed it me back...Apparently they are re-usable until 27th Nov! (that's what she told me.)Will be back next week for more stuff. They had those 150g boxes of Twilight mint chocs for £1 each, but they are in the 3 for 2 offer so with the voucher that's 3 boxes of posh mint chocs for £1.60!!

We ignored the tins of chocs. They'd increased the price and we didn't want 3 of things anyway.

I planned on grabbing some vouchers today (saturday) in woolies but never got the chance to go, but who cares, 10 posted, yes, POSTED through my door. not with the normal mail but at 7pm in evening. Are they emplyoing staff to walk the streets and hand deliver these in letter boxes now? - must be desperate for the sales boost!!!

Will visit them tomorrow and see whats about :-)

Popped into my local yesterday afternoon, all very quiet, no mention of any vouchers, certainly nobody giving them out! The few people that went though the checkout while I was there weren't offered one either.
