They were giving out these vouchers outside my Woolies in Chelmsford today. For anyone MLP mad, I got MLP funfair, normally £39.99, reduced to £24.99, then a further 20% off = £19.99, bargain!!0

Yes it will work with the mobile phone offer. So to cut it short, you'd pay £50 for a handset, get 10% off and then £20 vouchers back. Total cost to yourself (after theoretically treating the £20 as cashback) is £25. It's half price!
Not a bad deal really.
so even if its under £50 after discount you still get the £20 voucher?? thanks0 -
For staff & genuine F&F, there's bound to be a staff double discount day before Xmas, as there's not been one for a few weeks, so don't worry that you're being seen off.It would be really easy for Woolworths to implement checks, if all employees had to write their staff numbers on the back of the vouchers. But as many others have pointed out, they seem to be quite lax this year - previous years, this event has been quite strictly policed.
I am fully convinced that it has been leaked unintentionally (I don't know this for definite as I'm not one of the "powers that be"), but now it is out and people are spending in the stores, it would be pretty silly of Woolworths to rein it in and change the rules to need employee number validation on the vouchers like they did last year.
I'm unsure what the stores have been told from above to make them issue the vouchers to people on the doors and even out on the high streets... perhaps the store manager is feeling "friend"ly (I'll get my coat) :rotfl:so even if its under £50 after discount you still get the £20 voucher?? thanks
I would recommend double checking with a store colleague before making your purchase, but if I read it as it the terms are written, it should be fine.0 -
I went into our local Woollies this evening.
I was given a voucher to use - it looked like the assistants had a pile of vouchers that they were cutting out.
I think that as Woolworths are in the process of being sold that they are increasing sales to look more appealing for the buyerTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
all christmas choc, tins, selection boxes, advent calendars, tubes etc have all gone on 3 for 2 and you get 20% off as well. just need to show the voucher0

They had photo copies at all the tills in my local today and took 20% off without a voucher.
I managed to buy

for £4 and 1 at £2, just for asking for a further reduction.
Bargain or what??

Just popped in and got a few bits but the DVD I wanted was out of stock so will try other branches and pop in again next week.
Was very temped by the 3 for 2 on the tins of chocs, but just got some green and blacks bars today!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
I'm surprised that the tins of chocolates are going for so cheap again this year... especially as I heard that most retailers are paying nigh on £4 cost-price for the tins.
I wonder if the supermarkets make any money on them at all, or they're just competing against eachother and hoping for sales of other things to make up for the loss on the tins.LilacLillie wrote: »They had photo copies at all the tills in my local today and took 20% off without a voucher.

it actually works out with the 20% discount that you can get 3 tins of chocolates for £11.20 which is slightly cheaper than the morrisons £4.00 per tin0
