Well, just had a rather pleasing result!! I picked my wine to use the double up clubcard voucher, giving me £10 off, but because i was a new customer, if i ordered over £50 i got £10 off. So i had to wangle it around but i have succeeded in getting 18bottles of wine for £36 including £5 delivery. Am well chuffed i love wine.
Also, our foreign student has told the school he would like to stay here over Christmas, instead of having their usual three weeks break and then staying with us for a bit longer in the new year. So this could mean extra money over Christmas and this way we won't get used to him not being here and so, miss having the place to ourselves. Still not decided though, not sure how i feel spending Christmas with someone who isn't a part of the family, if you see what i mean!
Bagpus, ouch thats a large money to shell out for your car repairs etc, in fact thats more than my car is worth!! Poor you!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

I stayed at home and didn't spend any money! Sorted out a spread sheet covering mine and BF's joint finances, worked out a budget for christmas and made a chocolate trifle. Ok, the trifle isn't exactly DFW but it was made with stuff already had in so didn't need to buy anything!

And checked online banking for my account, and joint account. And looked into home work jobs to do in the evening for extra cash. no luck though

Morning Everyone,
I'm still off work today and am bored of being ill! I can't concentrate on anything for very long - and need to nap often. I feel like a cat!
I will try to be slightly productive today, so today I will (try to):- [STRIKE]Weed out the clothes I am going to take on holiday in January and put them in my suitcase.[/STRIKE] OMG - REally need to lose a few pounds to make sure I get back into my summer gear!
- [STRIKE]Put away the 'spare' dishes that my cousin borrowed for a party.[/STRIKE]
- Make a big batch of No Point Soup to use up veges and provide me with lunch/dinner - FAILED
- [STRIKE]Do a load of washing and airer dry[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Clear a pile of 'clutter' over the day![/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Pay cheque into bank - this involves a walk into town which I'm not sure I'm up to! (may look in on M&S but not sure I can face the crowds!)[/STRIKE] Forget to take the cheque with me -DOH! Managed to spend money on clothes including a skirt for OH's Sister's wedding. Also found a x-mas pressie for OH and used points to buy myself some perfume.
- Save my documents on the hard drive my brother gave me - my laptop has been playing up. Still to do
Mythical - surely your BF should be remembering his own brother's b'day!
mbaz - hope little one hasn't got what I've got - its yuk!
Still chuckling at the cous cous!
Have a good day everyone.

Hi Everyone,
It's great to see everyone on here - so much to achieve to get to our DF dates. I hope people have been successful today.
Feeling loads better - managed to get into town although I forgot to pick up the cheque I needed to deposit. I'm blaming it on not feeling well but actually its because I am so ditsy!
I wondered around the shops today - is it just me or is there very little in the shops to buy! I couldn't believe some of the carp that I saw! There was very little I wanted to give. I think I am going to make sweets and biscuits as gifts.
Have a good rest of evening everyone.
