Hey guys can I come play with you? Well and truly up the creek without a canoe, let alone a paddle. Sat and did my SOA last night and I have more money going out than coming in BEFORE I add on food, petrol etc etc so things are looking dire.

    So today I will have
    - sorted buildings/contents insurance out and saved £30 a month
    - cancelled car insurance as car has gone - saved £28.89 a month
    - looked into whether I can get out of my mobile contract and gone onto PAYG (I haven't been on the mobile board yet)
    - listed 7 things on Ebay (this is total so far - I'm off upstairs to see if there is anything else I can find to go)
    - done any surveys that come to me
    - looked into changing my broadband and internet provider as currently paying BT £45 a month!
    - taken a meter reading and rung Scottish power - I can't match them up and am a bit scared about this one - I've been estimating for years and now the estimate starts with a 6 but my meter starts with a 1 - I am wondering if somehow they could have possibly gotten 5000 units out of kilter!
    - menu planned for weekend as partner is up to stay and unlike me I can't feed them on freezer nonsense, I need to still do semi normal meals - however I have plenty of food in and think I'm only going to need a bit of veg
    - look into alternate bank account in case NatWest pull the plug
    - ring Egg and explain I can't pay the £200 I have been paying for last couple of years and see if I can renegotiate my payments.

Right now I am scared about many things - main one being that NatWest are going to withdraw my overdraft - £2000. If I can do at least some of the things above then I will have made a dint - but the Scottish Power one is scaring me in case I actually end up oweing them more money which right now would be a disaster.

Anyway thanks for letting me offload and very nice to meet you guys x

  • I'm a bit late today but I've had a productive time since posting yesterday so you'll have to let me off :D

    Last night/today I have:

    * Ordered my Mum's Christmas present. She's getting an iPod Nano and thanks to a voucher code, I've got it for £82 with Quidco from Littlewoods. Bit of a bargain but it meant that yesterday was not a NSD.
    * Ordered my Mum's present from my Nannan. I've ordered it to the store to save on p&p because my other half has to go and pay some cheques in at Meadowhall anyway plus there was Quidco on that too.
    * Done loadsa washing on a short wash 30 degree cycle. This is currently adorning the house. You know it's bad when you're that desperate for places to hang things that you have to use the shower rail :D
    * Had some soup last night for tea, toast for breakfast and storecupboard sandwich and fruit that needed eating up for dinner today. No takeaways so far this week!
    * Checked internet banking. All my direct debits have come out alright.
    * Phoned Scottish Widows. The very nice man will let me open my ISA straight away so I need to post that later.
    * Got some bacon out of the freezer to defrost so I can make bacon sandwiches to take in the car tomorrow instead of eating at service stations.
    * Done some surveys. Will do more when they come in throughout the day.

    Today I will:

    * Do some more packing for tomorrow.
    * Go food shopping, sticking strictly to my list.
    * Send my ISA application. If my money stays in my current account much longer, it's going to get used.
    * Probably fresh pizzas from Asda for my tea tonight.
    * Top up my mobile.
    * And I'm sure there was something else but I can't remember now :D

Have a good day everyone and I will see you on Monday. Hope everyone who is feeling poorly or down in the dumps finds something to cheer them up :)
  • Afternoon all!!

HOW MANY already today!?! Will read them all in a minute and catch up. Must get on here earlier lol!!:rotfl:

Feeling bit brighter today after a down couple of days. Sometimes everything seems such hard work!

    Anyway...here goes.....

    * Done Mrs Mop job....fuel paid for coming week
    * Sister-in-law gave me two books so have enough now to keep me going a while
    * Storecupboard dinner
    * Mum sent over big bag of groceries, bless her!!!
    * Ebay some clothes mum gave me
    * Got Electric company to put DD up by £14 instead of £25!!!
    * Use boots points later to buy nappies
    * Heating off whilst little one having nap.

And thats it. Will try and think of a few more for tomorrow.

    Miss P
    xx

Afternoon all, hope everyone is having a great day.

Fay, am sure your cleaner was probably glad, i work as a cleaner and know how frustrating it can be when you are trying to clean and there are all these people around:mad::rotfl:

Hope everyones little ones feel better

For those who need motivation at work am sending you positive vibes and a cracking long list to show you about productivity:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi to all the newbies, so many lovely new faces and always great to read everyones posts.

Hi to all the regulars and sending you all a big wave.

Nix, although it can seem very scary, the scottish power issue isn't going to go away and as terrifying as it can be, facing up to it can get it out the way and you never know you may be pleasantly surprised, or if not, can put something in place.

Norton blade, have a great time in London, i love visiting London:D

Ok, so now i have done all the hello's apart from to Sophiesmum, so hey sophiesmum:hello:

Am in a wierd mood, the joys of doing a diploma in counselling and having nasty people for tutors:rotfl: Slights peeved off though, as today someone phoned me up to see if i wanted to take part in a big corporate event, which would have meant several massages on the night and getting to meet 40 - 50 potential client, but i can't do it as i have booked to go to Scotland with a friend. Also may loose counselling placement as i can't make interview next week all because i am going to Scotland. Part of me wants to sit and scream or cry about it:mad: but it will sort itself out:D

    My list for today:
-Have been to work and got a very important job done that will mean so much for the child it is going to help, so feel good factor:D
-I have been to see a massaging client and given her a massage, plus she has rebooked
-Massage client is also going to see if her daugher would like a treatment for Christmas, so potential for further business:D
-Heard back from someone who wants to buy some of my gift vouchers:D

-will email them back with address details
-Have looked for mystery shops and picked up a job
-Have checked matched betting and won at betfair, resulting in £40 profit from a matched bet
-Have withdrawn £300 so can use it to pay credit card bill

-Have received my £10 wine voucher for tescos
-Have received sample washing liquid to try which has eighteen free washes in it:j
-Have found out lots of arts and crafts stuff for my counselling assignment meaning i won't need to buy it, plus am using natural things like leaves to help, plus their free:rotfl:
-Have taken food out of freezer for tea tonight and meals will be from store cupboard
-Have phoned up counselling placement place to see if its possible to change the day of the interview
-Have phoned back someone who phoned me and spoke to them about possible promotion work in the future as i can't do it this time round

-I will write up client notes for massage
-I will email a friend to check she is still ok for Saturday, as she is my client for my ear candling course.
-I will check out this clubcard thing in Scotland and see if i can do it in time
-Will look for wine in order to use up my voucher
    -I will sort through emails
    -I will do any surveys

-I will write rough notes for assignment
-I will work on symbols for work
-I will do some short pieces for the children to take home, not paid etc but worth it
-Begin my arty stuff for counselling course
-Go on business site for advice, especially about a scheme i am planning on implementing
-Check ebay for a particular oil that all my clients love
-tidy bedroom etc so i have a productive work space
-Continue working on case studies for Saturday
    -Look at counselling placements again
-Look for another bookie for matched betting

-Sort out weekly diary for next week
-Have checked business emails and will check business data.
-keep heating off for as long as poss

Ok, think thats me, better get cracking, speak to you all later.:D

  • Well today i have hung the washing out to dry until sky turned black..oooerr, but it is on the airer.:D
Went in Aldi for a few bits, lots of fresh fruit and veg, storecupboard items and was going to spend £20 but noticed the tinned toms have gone up by nearly 20p..so only spent £16..refuse to pay that much.
Have stuck to SW diet all week, but not rejoined..may slink back on the thread later:o
Have sorted out online banking and got a charge refunded for a card which they said i hadn't paid when i had and the payments were on the statement:mad: rang through saynoto 080 to avoid phonecall costs:D
Sat with laptop and a brew to keep me warm as no heating on:cool:
Will have another interesting storecupboard meal ...beans, beans and beans..can you tell we have lots of beans:D :rotfl:
Forgot to add my freebie energy saving lightbulbs came from the carbon trust, really nice ones too. And the first of my Christmas pressies from nectar card points which we have had for years, so Enya came today and am waiting for the others.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
