Not sure what a Tesco milk can is, but ours is sold in plastic containers with a separate seal. Short of removing the lid you would have no idea if the seal is broken or not. Milk is about the worst thing to spill - have done it myself and in the end only a new carmat sorted out the stench.

Is d.Edna a subversive from Viz?

Housewives: always carry any liquid product, you are purchasing from a supermarket, upside down. By the time you get to the checkout you can reject anything that has leaked.

Don't forget to put them at the bottom of the trolley as bleach can spoil the TV mag.

Getting two of everything helps as if one has leaked you can buy the other one. Anything you don't need just hand it to the assistant.

I think you may be creating a safety problem here. Imagine a trail of something you can't see around the shop - water, bleach, lemonade etc.
You won't get thanked for that by the shop and whoever your action may injure.

I carry a pocket full of little Mario Marconi disks and scatter these as I walk backwards pushing my trolley using my see backwards goggles to ensure the trolly is in the right direction. Any spills I scatter the smiley orange disks to attract people's attention to the dangers of milky bleach.

What else can one do in these circumstances?

Which century is this? I didn't realise it was only housewives who went to the supermarket!

OK as we're in the C21, Husbands can do this and their wives could follow behind mopping up the spills with a bag of cat litter. There, hows that for being liberated?

(By the way, it would appear that Viz is a cleaning product and not what I thought it was at all.)
