I know I don't really eat enough; but I don't really enjoy eating, as it tires me out. (Daft as that sounds, its true).
Hmmm... maybe I need to totally rethink how I cope with food.
Have you heard of Ensure and Ensure plus? They're effectively meal replacement drinks. Unlike complan and similar they don't rely on powdered skimmed milk as their main ingredient (which for some reason has always had a dire effect on my digestive system, even though I can happily have milk in tea, etc and have been known to have the occasional cream tea or cheese on toast), but are a mixture of various vital ingredients that will act as a substitute for a balanced diet.
It's unlikely that your GP would be able to prescribe them for you, as you're supposed to be 'at risk of disease related malnutrition' to qualify, but you can buy them from a pharmacy without a script.
They might, for a while, provide you with enough calories to kick start your metabolism without having to force yourself to eat food you don't really want.
This is the company that supplied mine:

if you love icecream try this.... peel a bannana, wrap the peeled bannana in tin foil and shove it in the freezer for a couple of hours untill frozen, makes a nice alternative, smooth and cold like icecream but a damn sight healthyer.DON'T JUDGE ME, YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO. YOU DONT KNOW WHAT I'VE BEEN THROUGH, YOU DONT KNOW WHAT I'VE FELT, OR WHAT I FEEL RIGHT NOW! SO FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO WITH YOUR TIME, THAN JUDGE SOMEONE YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!!!0

Good luck at SW Rob. I joined 2 weeks ago and have lost 13lbs so far. My dad joined with me after I practically shoe horned him in and he is loving it - he has lost 15lbs in 2 weeks.

I went yesterday to tesco and thought i would check the scales to see what my current weight is .
I wish i hadnt as i know feel really really bad. it came out at 18 st 9
i have always been 13st 13 and in the last year my weight has increased and its seems nothing i to do will make it decrease.
I have cut out eating things like burgers and chips and try to eat healthy balanced meals and since choosing to eat vegitarian meals have felt that im eating better.
i do occasionally eat meat and althought im allergic to seafood i eat some fish like tuna and cod.
i know that i get bored and eat between meals and also i have really bad cravings for sugared items or crisps (thought i tend not to buy these as i know they are not good) but i usually end up having a yogurt or something.
I am unable to attend the gym because of my health problems and i can only walk so far comfortably because of my back and right leg.
I would like to be able to lose 6st and im worrying that due to how depressed i feel im going to do something drastic ,
i am going to start a calorie controlled diet but what can i do to stop this craving for sweets and sugary stuff - i have spoken to the doctor and got ridiculed for asking about it.
sorry if i have not made sense- but im so upset at myself for getting this bad ,I dont think i look that overweight but i now feel disgusted and completly embarrassed at my self
Hey i think slimming world is really good! I'm a 16 year old girl and i started going to slimming world as a last resort. I was really really down all the time about my weight and my confidence was non-existant!
I know you probably think it's a girly thing but seriously, if you go on the slimming world website you will see that men, just like you have lost looaaadssss of weight. It's not just a woman's club!so when you go don't feel like the odd one out!!!
Slimming world is the easiest thing ever i've tried, and trust me... im 16 but i have tried everything... doctors, counsellors, therapists, eat right clubs, pills! etc with the help of my mum.
Slimming world club members are soooo nice and everyone is there to support eachother! Good luck with going, i'm sure youll do great!!
