Fathead the movie blog
One of the things I noticed watching the film is the number of times Tom mentions the depression causing effects of carbohydrates. Sure they make great comfort food but because they become addictive we keep repeating the pattern, Feel sorry for yourself, stuff carbs, get hungry, stuff more carbs get fat, get depressed, feel sorry for yourself stuff more carb ad infinitum.
Anyway this blog addresses the more positive side of low carb eating.
I have to say his experience matches mine. I was becoming reliant on regular red wine consumption and that was contributing to my weight problem and cutting out the carbs enabled me to stop drinking altogether for a while ( while I was actively losing weight) and now in maintenance I've not felt the NEED as opposed to the desire to drink. So I can limit it and don't feel too deprived if I miss a few days.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Another great use for coconut oil: paint remover! on your hands especially. Gets it off much quicker and better than paint remover, and leaves oyur hands nice and soft. Also stuff like glue on your hands.0

Coconut oil supplementation found to have benefits for health.....Both groups lost weight, but only the group taking the coconut oil saw a significant reduction in their waist circumference. This is significant, in that waist circumference is a measure of ‘abdominal obesity’ (the form of obesity most associated with chronic diseases such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes)........My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Soya is not good for everyone, my daughter in law had serious problems when she took it during the menopause and when I did some investigating I discovered that it can cause the very problems she was trying to avoid.0 -

i love coconut oil though admit im more a fan of the monoi oil as love the flower smell, i used to use it as a nit treatment on my daughters hair as it made it shiny and smelt lovely, plus easy to comb through waist length hair , when i lived in devon the school had a big problem so i had a bit of a cult following amongst moms as id tell them my secret formula to keep them at bay, basic coconut or olive oil work just as well but the monoi had the nice smell
oh is black so uses vaseline or baby oil on his skin but i prefer coconut or shea butter on babys skin as its more natural!
