Now I have to hang my head in shame..........
CCCS were great but I never been so frightened in my life.
They sent all the paperwork through for a pro-rata/reduced payment thing.
Sent all the letters out with the first payments. Have stuck to there budget
to the penny even over christmas..........now the letters are coming in thick & fast with default notices. NWB accepted the payment plan 24/12/08 but now got a horrid letter from Triton Credit Services on NWB behalf threatening all sorts of things. I am way out of my depth now !!! I wasn't offered a DMP or IVA but I guess that was because of only having £160 to pay off a £50,000 debt. Would it help if we found a way of getting more money like cutting down on CCCS budget ???
Not sure what to do now, I know I have gotta stick to my guns and say that we cannot afford anymore but when you are threatened with court/bailiffs/visits to our home etc it starts to get more scary.
Can any of you help with advice, I won't run away again from all of you.

Hi Hectorcarol,
Speak to CCCS and let them know about the letter from Triton Credit Services....CCCS are there to help you,. We are with Payplan, but I am sure they operate in the same way. Any problems we get with creditors, we let Payplan know and they deal with them. At the end of the day if NWB have accepted the payment plan on the 24/12, then I would imagine CCCS will also have notification of this fact. I know its scary when you first start your plan, but it will get better and easier, and at the end of the day, you cannot pay what you don't have, but you must make sure that you have money for the essential bills and food.......everything else will have to have what is left.....Keep posting, and you will get lots of advice and as you know its all confidential, no-one knows who we are and its easy to talk to strangers who are going through the same problems......xx

Hello
Now reading the paperwork.............
I am guessing that it is a DMP offering a reduced/Pro Rata Payment.
No-one has even asked for our client number yet.
Do I phone Triton or let CCCS do it ???

I just popped in to say hello and to reassure you that you are in the right place. DFW is such a friendly and helpful board - many, many of the posters have felt exactly as you do now and they are here to help others as they have been helped. Many will tell you they are happier now than they have been for many months or even years!

Hi HC.
I have just read this thread. I don't know if it helps you to know you are not alone! I have all the same feelings as you, sometimes it just seems as if no matter what we do, we cannot get ahead of our money worries.
I won't go into all our gory details on your thread, but we are well and truly in the deep and sticky!
The best thing I have done, though is join this site and I hope you will think so too. Everyone is so helpful, with down to earth advice and suggestions. I have picked up dozens of tips and ideas to help us tackle our debts and our fears.
Personally, I would call CCCS regarding Triton and see what they suggest. They may get in touch on your behalf.
Take care

Hi Hectorcarol.
If any of your creditors contact you. tell them you are just starting a DMP with CCCS and give them your reference number. Do not get involved in any discussions with them. CCCS will do all that for you. We foun that some of our creditors tried to get us to pay more money etc and were quire harassing, but after a while it does stop as long as you are keeping up the payments.........its a bit daunting, I know, but it will settle down and eventually you will sleep again......
