Have just put in a third order for approved foods.
The postage is much cheaper now I have not been ordering big bottles of water.
I tried one of the jars of bean, bacon and sausage I got a few weeks ago and it is really nice. Four jars for a pound and could be used for an all day brekkie with an egg or two added or a meal with potatoes, rice etc.
I expected the beans to be like baked beans bu they are more like a smallish butter bean and very tasty.
When DH has time I need to get him to drive me for more bread flour, long life milk etc.
The aim is not to have to leave the house if either it is really icy or someone is ill etc.
It also helps me have a no spend day now and then which we will need as house insurance has gone up by about 20%!!!
Hugs to everybody, especially Cheryl and Sarah."This site is addictive!"

We bought some lovely fairy lights at the Steiner School fair the other day, they are regular fairy lights but they are covered with felted wool bags, all wrapped around, they are gorgeous, all hand felted and hand stitched - we paid £20 but we were very happy with it, there are 20 of them and they make the most beautiful multicoloured lights - and if we treat them well they will really make a little family heirloom, so pretty they are!elizabunny wrote: »You're all getting so organised with everything, puts me to shame
Glad I am not the only one to feel like that! I am sooooo disorganised compared to this wonderful bunch here! Join me in the naughty corner elizabunny!
Many hugs to all who need them, particularly Cheryl and Sarah (and bump)!

Afternoon everyone! Still playing catch-up today, the Holly Wreaths are still waiting to be made  -should have done that Tuesday and Mum's cards are still waiting to be written -promised myself I'll do that tonight with DH help. Still got to find 3 artifical tree's in the loft, one for us, one for DS1 and one for Mum's room in the nursing home. We all usually have real one's -but just too expensive this year. Wishing I could think of something a little more inventive -but brain seems to be on a go slow this year. On the plus side -there's a huge pot of roasted veg soup sitting on the hob nearly finished and I've peeled, par-boiled and frozen loads of Parsnips that were on special at Lidl this week.:j
Is it me or do there seem to be alot less hours in the day as we grow older. I seem to start each day with a plan to do so many things and end my day wondering exactly what I did do.....
Thinking of everyone here with problems and worries -hope things improve for you all very soon.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Awh pet, cars are the utter pits. I bet horses & carts were cheaper. Caterina I havent bought one xmas pressie yet --I used to be a xmas eve shopper when I was alive. I was in Gala today but I can't cope with shops/queues/crowds any more and got too tired & lost the will to live very fast. Came right home to sit on here and eat sweeties instead0

Oh no IOIWE, I sympathise, last month my exhaust fell off and one of the valves in the engine went the same week (cost £400, but they said it really needed a new engine as well £1000++++ - not going to happen!!). We won't starve either but OMG  ....., rant over.0
