Oh! Sorry, should know better about posting a link! Just been putting away my haul. Was thinking I should go onto mysupermarket and find out what the value of it is, plus the value at Asda, or if I wanna feel really good, then Ocado LOL! Do you think I need to get out more?
Curiosity and the need to know I got a good deal overcame me, as near as I could tell...Just over £100 at Mr T and Ocado over £120. Bill was £32.43 including delivery.
OK, I got some things I wouldn't otherwise have bought, but they will be substitutes for other things that I would have bought. No extravagances."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Afternoon everyone.
Mummysaver -so glad you got on well at your class. Your wreaths sound wonderful. If your making a garland for your home this Christmas, try and get hold of some thick rope for the centre of it and cut it to the required length. You can plait it to make it even thicker and this will then give you a good solid base to build up on with your greenery -preferably FREE:D. I used to use blue spruce because this lasted really well and filled out the garland really quickly, but you may have to buy that. Holly -ouch! is obviously great if you grow it or get it free and I also find that laurel lasts reasonably well. When you put on your little decorative bits try and hide some of them a little towards the centre of the garland because this gives the whole thing depth and looks nicer than hanging everything on the outside edges. It's a bit like decorating the Christmas Tree -hide things a bit, much more exciting. Hope I'm not getting too technical here:o or bossy.
Caterina -I loved your idea too! Sometimes the simplest things look the best. Do you put lights on this as well?
You're all getting so organised with everything, puts me to shame -still have my Dear Mum's Cards to write yet -she's a nursing home now and unable to do any of the usual Christmas things, but we still make it lovely for her and she always comes home to us for Christmas Day so fingers crossed she will be well enough this year, although we won't know until the actual day because her health is very unpredictable.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

My stocks have been seriously used up in the last few weeks -- partly due to elder son (Mr Hollow Legs) being home from the Army, but also due to the total stop on all income with losing my DH and being made redundant within a space of 2 weeks!!
Oh, cw18, you must be wondering what hit you. However you do sound upbeat and you are beginning to pull through.
Meanwhile I'm sure the others on this thread would join me in giving you a hug ((((cw18)))) I hope you get so many bargains/whoopsies that Mr Hollow Legs finds them heavy to carry0 -

Pretty sure its for the pack. If it is for only one they will be specific about that in order to avoid complaints! There is a discount available also, I think it is MSE1 but couldn't swear to it!

Except that the Approved Foods discount is no longer there - I recall him explaining why on the Shopping Resource Board.0

Hi everyone, just a quick update (i havent disappeared)
Last weds we got crashed into on a roundabout and my car got written offthey only offered me £200 for it which is useless. Went to car auction and picked up a little Peugeot 306 for £320 so £120 out of pocket. Dad has paid for it for me as claim isnt settled yet and i have to pay him back next week when i get paid - cant believe this has happened right before xmas. Luckily i got a 57 plate courtesy car to drive round in for now.
Going to get injury claim and me and OH have whiplash and me being 7 months pregnant - isnt good. Spent weds afternoon in A&E and we both had to take Thurs and Fri off as we were in agony(
ANYWAY, should have more time to come on here next week when we are semi back to normalHope i havent missed too much!
