Happy to say the predicted heatwave hasn't materialised in Mnachester! Not being ungrateful but a 12 week old baby and heatwaves don't go together and I hate the heat myself. Just picked baby carrots and am going to freeze them for Michaels first solids in a couple of months - totally organic grown with love. having a NSD so we can stretch this week a bit further but am hoping for my delivery from Kemps so i can keep busy - ha is if Im ever anything else :) Mmm fresh laid eggs and bargain bacon (bacon courtesy of Mum) - does life get any better?

Ventured out for an infrequent trip to Mr S, as in next village. Hardly any basics stuff on shelves, only ended up with about a quarter of what I wanted to get, some stuff gone up by 14%:eek::eek: Will be a very long time before I go again. Not impressed :mad::mad: On the other hand, I didn't spend much, and it has been a lovely day - swings n roundabouts :)

I've had an expensive week's shopping - Very busy at work so DH did our shopping at Mr S in his lunch hour on Friday but overpent my budget by £10 even though he didn't buy extra's - potatoes are so expensive at the moment - I've stopped buying 'old' potatoes because the ones I had recently have been either soft or full of black bits and I've thrown away more than I've used and now all the basics have virtually disappearred it really has a big impact.

Did get a good bargain off the market today as 1 went half an hour before closing and bought 2lb of lean ldry-cured shortback smoked bacon for £3 :j

Going to play at Scrooge tonight and go through my receipts to see iwhat I can get cheaper as I have Thursday off next week so will be able to do Aldi/Lidl/Wilko/Home Bargains/Market to get the budget back on track.

Phew! Its been hot here today - 28 degrees and not a breath of wind - great for clothes drying but too hot to do much

It has not been good weather here - cats and dogs nearly all day.:( Not to worry, I have not spent any money today as I have been inside decluttering - I have thrown out nearly a bag of rags (old clothes). This does not include the stuff I have kept for dusters.;)

I might spend a couple of hours shredding my old mail/documents. Another rock and roll Saturday night in this household, how times change. Around 15 years ago, I would be getting the warpaint on to go out on the lash. Nowadays, it's bed by 10.30 with a hot chocolate.:rotfl:

:rotfl: Ain't that the truth! ;)

It's been hideous here today - one of those days where it's been so hot and humid that you can't move without sweating profusely out of every pore and orifice, and I've had a river in my cleavage all day! Got so fed up with it earlier that I shoved a bit of kitchen roll between my b00bs and left if there awhile .......nice :D

Aww Maratha - you don''t know how envious I am! Everywhere here is totally parched and our lawn looks absolutely dead. Sat here in a thin cotton nightie wiping away the sweat - too hot by 'alf :p:p
