That's the spirit Calley. Onwards and upwards.
Plus I am awaiting delivery of some carbolic soap. How divine!
:T Brill!!! You've got to indulge your vintage vibe to the max --and treat yourself to a bar of "Wrights" Coal Tar Soap or some "Pears" Transparent. . . and a carboard pack of Eau de Cologne bath crystals
A sniff of any of these makes the years melt away:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

I love Pears soap, my nana used it and it makes me think about her - one sniff and all the good memories flood back.:D
I had a bargain dinner tonight - cost around 95p. Whoopised loin chops - 50p per chop - sausage 25p each HM cheese sauce - cost around 10p to make and frozen veg - around 10p for the portion. It was lovely and just as good as any restaurant meal.:cool:0 -

Umm that sounds lovely.
I have got some fillet steak in the freezer that was reduced from silly money to 80p and £1.40 a packet :j
Mind you my day has got even better went out to put the green bin out earlier and found the old clothes prop and broken rotary line that I had put out for to be taken with the rest of the rubbish last week and was not taken by the refuse collectors has now gone.
Have no idea who took it or really when some time in the last 36 hours. Saves me a trip to to the dump :j
Up wards and up wards.

DH uses Wrights coal tar soap all the time - he swears by it for his sensitive skin.:)
I was chatting to a chap in the queue at the Coop yesterday - he was buying alcohol and huge bars of chocolate and said his family(2 adults and 2 young boys) spend about £200 a week on food:eek: there was me buying my 21p reduced brown loaf:D
I am getting great satisfaction from our own produce especially the strawberries which are abundant this year:T
Any news on Sammy yet?Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi
I think Sammy said that she was booked to be induced on the 8th if nothing had happened before that, so she may be back soon!
Thanks for your congratulationsit's lovely to be in such a friendly, supportive place.
I just went to the garage on the way back from dropping DS off and had a craving for some orange juice... ooh I thought, tropicana, lovely. Then saw that it was £1.96 a pack. Nearly 2 quid for a litre of juice??? Outrageous!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
I've noticed Sammy being conspicuous by her absence for last few days - so I guess congratulations are in order????
Not according to this.
Yours
Calley

Right I am really not amused now.
A friend of mine is on her way to hospital as we speak to have her baby through induction because of diabetes - that will be baby number 7 that I know of who has been due after Holly and yet born before her!
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Getting depressed now and feeling very fed up.:(:(:(:( and what I've just realised too is that KYM has been very quiet the last due days and its making me wonder if perhaps it not 7 but in fact 8!
Hope for everything and expect nothing!!!

I'm having an "off" spell. I didn't get the veg sorted properly and its all coming up together like a jungle. The strawberries have a black mould. I am wearing the husbands old socks (size 11 !!) because I gave my daughter all my hand knitted socks & I have no tights left and no money to get any.
Somebody slap me hard to stop me whining ! LOL0 -
