Thank you all for the lovely Lola thoughts, it's "so far so good", she came through the GA OK and they have carried out all the tests that they need to. So far it is all inconclusive which is the same as it was in January but it does help to cross some possibilities off the list. Fingers very very much crossed, we may get her home tomorrow xxx

  • I just heard from a friend today, her son got his pocket picked in a Job Centre! He'd gone to sort out his lost NI # , and had his wallet nicked. The staff there kindly took a whip round to get him his bus fare home.

Ive lost my purse! and of all the places it could have been I still cant find the bleeding thing! Only place I can remember last having it was in the post office yesterday where i tried to post a parcel and they wouldn't take it as they had no storage space and so i brought two stamps. Although knowing the state my pregnant brain has been in lately I probably put it down on the counter and have left it there but lucky me its good Friday so the bloody place isnt open now until tomorrow morning! have looked all through living room and other places I expected to find it but still cant but was told to cancel but figure there's no point today as everywhere is shut and if it is in the post office and i cancel them then im still stuck

although do have a family friend who is popping me in some milk and bread to do me until Owen is home later and i can nab his credit card then off to the post office tomorrow to see if they have it!

most unamused though and owen has asked to see if ive found it yet but trying not to wind myself up looking for it!

Try contacting the local police station to see if it has been handed in.

Well have just rang the bank to inform them that I seem to have misplaced my purse but i possibly know where it is but wanted any transactions that might come out (jsut incase) to be logged that it was reported missing.

Only to be told that Im £351 overdrawn because they nicely took £98 worth of charges from me on the 31st March - I had only jsut gotten out of my overdraft and then the charges keep putting me back in it and its now being looked at by the head office because Im constantly overdrawn!

then was nicely advised by the lady on the phone that they cannot reissue me a new card because I am so overdrawn so think a phone call to head office will be in order Monday and a polite word to see if they will cancel the charges to give me a break for once!

  • Oh Sammy-Kaye, so sorry to hear about your purse and everything with the bank, hope they can sort something out and give you a break, they dont make it easy for us do they.

I also have problems with banks, i found out last night after checking my internet banking and seeing some transactions i was sure i hadnt made, i rang the bank to check when i took this money out and where and it turns out they have frozen my account and stopped my card as they think it is the subject of fraud. It would apper my card has been cloned and the criminals have practically emptied my account:eek:. I thought i hadnt withdrawn such a large sum as i havent even been to the bank for a few days.

The only 'good' thing is the money that was in the account was just enough to cover the bills and a bit of spending money as id moved every spare penny to savings as both cars are due their MOT so needed to put it away before it got spent, or else we would have had nothing!

I cant believe it, i feel really violated!

Luckily id already took my grocery money out in physical cash, so we wont starve, but we arent going to have much fun either! FIL has also by coincidence given us some money as a gift, so that will help. Nightmare! Hope the bank sort it out soon, they said i will get the money back but goodness knows when.

Never mind these things are sent to try us and im sure we will manage on even less than usual thanks to MSE!
