Hi penelope
No its not just stuff for sale.. It is a bit confusing to navigate at the moment but we are trying to get it a bit more ordered
Most suggestions for nonnymouse candidates come up in the daily chit chat.. or folks PM one of the staff -as some people might be a bit embarassed about needing help
So if anyone has spotted someone who you think could do with some help -just let us know and we will see what we can do..
Actually now you have given me an idea..thankyou-I will get off and see if we can make things clearer and easier to navigate

PenPen, I joined this morning and could only see the stuff for sale but once I'd logged in I could see everything
Great idea for a site Mrs M :TBulletproof0 -
Why do I have Scottie from Star Trek in my head going, 'We're all DOOMED, Cap'n!'
We may well be, but there are no ravening hordes beating each other to death over the last crust of bread outside my window today, so I won't worry yet.0 -
But 'Survivors' is freaking me out! How very grim it is.0

Sorry to read about thos being made redundant or the possibility of being made redundant. During the last recession I was made redundant twice before I was twenty, not a good feeling, but I was still living at home & no commitments, so it was a lot easier. Being made redundant for the second time in a year gave me the kick up the backside I needed to get on with my life. Turned out to be a good thing, in the end. Good luck to all those that need it.0

I have been busy sorting out christmas bundles for family and all presents are now packed and put into christmas bags. I get in danger of getting too many things in throughout the year. A bargain here and a bargain there and I empty my corner bedroom cupboard out and I am the one getting the surprises. I am very chuffed because I will not have to spend another penny on presents this year and probably during the year for birthdays
Last half hour I have been preparing food for today and tomorrow. I pulled out 2 lots of frozen aduki beans and one solid frozen chicken. They are all de-frosting in the fridge so that I save energy and lower my costs. The chicken will keep the fridge cold for 2 days and will also make the fridge compressor last a bit longer over time as it won`t be on and off these two days. I suddenly realised that this was an os thing to do and wasn`t terribly obvious so here I am passing the tip on
I am thinking about all the people facing redundancy. There are lots in s wales not too far from where I live Stay postive if you can as positivity attracts positivity0 -

My dh was made redundant when my dd was very small. we had moved to our current location for the job as well. It seemed black at the time, but of course we survived. So when DH was made redundant again a few years ago, it was much easier to be positive, although it was still difficult of course.
Certainly for us, the fear was worse than the reality in the end. Long term effect is that we know that there is every chance to cope with what life throws at us. As long as we are all well, that is what matters.
My neighbour used to say to me that people matter more than 'things'. She died of cancer a few years ago at a fairly young (less than 50) age and her motto has become mine.
DH is just about to embark on a fairly long term job abroad. Visits every 3 months. We've never done this before. I'm unable to go as well as ds is still in school. DD is living other side of world for 6 months and I'm missing her. Life will be changing a lot. But we'll manage.[SIZE=-1]"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. It is a group effort - without the fabulous people donating "supples" and helping with admin and organisation it would never have happened.
It has all been worth it as we have now helped about 5 people:T
