Thanks cw18, yes we pay monthly for tv licence so will hopefully get some back then!

We are on pre payment meters for gas and elec so thats not a problem, just the council tax and water really. We pay these monthly.

Really hoping we will find this ok and OH can bond with his daughter as much as possible!

  • Happytails - just had a thought - you need to to get your post forwarded on to your parents address by the Post Office otherwise the next people where you are living now may get your personal details in any mail that still goes there. You can ask at any Post Office to get your mail redirected, and get to choose how long you want it done for. At least that way if you've forgotten to tell anyone you're moving - you will still get the post. Think you can get it sent on for 3, 6 or 12 months but not sure exactly.
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on

I've got some bacon out for brekkie tomorrow and some lovely lamb shanks for dinner. Will do these in the slowcooker so I can do some mince pies *at last* and the ggbread house *gulp*..

Have to go to the farm shop in the morning for a sack of tatties which me and mum will split then back to the kitchen to bake up a storm :D

How odd. It's gone up to 75p online too, yet I only paid 48p this Wednesday. However I recall this happened about six months ago and the price went back to normal. I have noticed that MrT jacks up the price without warning, then advertises things as greatly reduced (ie back to normal). This has happened with other staples, maybe they have got wise to people stocking up and hope to catch us unawares. Perhaps we should petition against price rises of 56.25%, which is how much their bread flour has gone up in three days.

Still, there are always those worse off. My Ukrainian friend has a Sky box, tuned into Ukrainian TV. She tells me that Russia has cut gas supplies to the Ukraine as they are unable to pay a huge debt. It's been as low as minus 20°C there recently. Even if they have the flour, they may not be able to bake the bread, or even keep warm.

GAWD:eek: I do feel sorry for them and everyone else with an unsafe degree of "exposure" to Russia "turning off the taps"...I think we all realize that is NOT a safe position to be in....as they do use(misuse) this ability.

I have started on a list (add it to the many other lists i have with my preggy brain), also family members will need to know (last time we moved OH forgot to tell his grandad and lets just say his grandad was very confused when some other woman answered the door! lol

Spoke to my landlord today and she just said come back when you've got a date you want to move on and its no problem. - Which was good, we dont have to even give X amount notice.

Found out my Temp job finishes on 3rd Jan so gives me time after that to pack and sort through everything! Freecycled alot of things already and selling 3 piece suite but not sure how to go about doing that over the xmas period

Most stressful thing now is rehoming 2 of our 3 dogs (we can keep one at OHs dads) - No idea where to start as im very fussy and what them to go to really good homes.

Dear Sarah, I really feel sad for you and your little family that your circumstances are forcing you to live apart, and can only echo what others have said, hoping that you can reunite soon once you have had the baby. This will be the best thing for all of you and I wish it for you all with all my heart.
