Wow - what's happened to our friendly thread? Looks like Mr Angry and Mr Grumpy have come to stay recently

Passion, same happened here - I bought two lots of over the counter meds at the weekend, and no blueys - when I asked, I was told I hadn't qualified, even though I'd spent over a fiver. Big queue, so I didn't question further, just assumed meds didn't count on qualifying spend this time, although they have before :(

Thanks for the reply. I thought I should have got a blue voucher, so I'll ask when I pop back into store. Thanks also to diane1975 for the confirmation :)

Re the thread being unfriendly? Probably a combination of people not appreciating AB_KW's jokey posts, boredom as Mr B's been a bit stingy lately, and people appointing themselves as board guides.

(Incidentally, and fwiw, people shouldn't confuse the direct approach, which sophisticated quite rightly took in her opinion in reply to AB_KW, with pegginout's abusive response. No need whatsoever for replies like that on the Boots thread - again imho.)

Off to Boots, where I'll hopefully find some purchases worth posting about.

Has anyone tried this 10064196?wid=200&hei=250&op_sharpen=1 I think it is similar to the wand in the cover eyes OOTW a while ago?

I have this and I love it!!! It's so much better than the one in the Front Cover Eye's set!! With this one there are two wands, one is thin for eyeliner and the other end is a thick brush to make a liquid eyeshadow. Definately worth the money in my opinion!! HTH

Agreed...pegginout was rather direct to say the least, but maybe some of us are starting to get fed up with the only posts being of the "I know something you do not know, ner ner ner ner ner" type posts as they are annoying and pointless

Apologies for my post ......I have removed it.

I was just fed up of the smug 'I know something but Im not telling you lot so there' attitude.
Must be PMT:mad: will have to go to Boots to find a remedy!!!!

  • :hello: Hallo! I'm hiding behind a wall, and wearing my pith helmet, but may I just say that I can see everyone's point of view!

If you haven't been on this thread for a few days, it's like having to read War and Peace, to catch up, and you're terrified you'll miss something.

And people who have kept up with everything probably think it's a cheek asking if there's a glitch at the moment, and I can see their point too.

And then there's those who "know" something, and want to tell the rest of us poor saps that they know and we don't, but they won't tell. And they probably think it's terribly amusing, but if your baby's been sick/husband's left you/daughter's announced she's pregnant/son's crashed the car/mother's got dementia/you've lost your job/wallet/house keys/will to live etc etc - it's not at all funny!

And I'm sure one of the above has happened to someone on here, who is just desperately trying to get some presents and not spend too much.

May I thank everyone who has given me such a lot of help, may I apologise to anyone who's been irritated with any of my posts, and may I offer olive branches all round to one and all.

Has anyone managed to use the Blue voucher on the mens L'Oreal De- Wrinkle?

I was in store yesterday and it would not go through, it doesn't specify on the voucher that it is only ladies.

So a nice call to CS today, they have logged my call to the product team and given me 500 points, and clarified that it should work as the voucher does not say only for the ladies.

I shall therefore try again later and see if it will go through. My B-I-L only uses this L'Oreal stuff so thought I could use my mass of vouchers on these for xmas.

Would love to hear if someone has managed it though.

Take care all, and have a lovely day

You forgot to add the post where someone says "Light bulb? Light bulbs are environmentally unfriendly/are not sustanable/work of the devil. I use lamps fuelled by rendered down hedgehog fat (organic) instead. "

And see how long the thread runs after that.......!

Does anyone know the Boots in Birmingham Airport, please? Could you tell me what they stock/if they have any of the good deals on? I'll be flying from there in a few days.
