Talking of pouts, I'm sick and tired of Vaseline, anyone know of any other products I could use for my lips? Don't want anything too glamorous as I don't want to look like a lady with lipstick on. Also, don't want to spend a bomb, just something cheep and cheerful that will keep my beauties lush. Got some Nivea something or the other, but it made my lips look super red like I had lipstick on them. Do help adorable ladies with suggesions.

Hope it's ok to cut and paste from other threads on MSE, but anyway thought this might be of interest!

It says there is a comp to be a supermodel for a day as well or you can just request the free sample on it's own!
  • OT - but must share .
Haven't been able to Boots as much as would like lately as OH was made redundant 7 weeks ago - but today he got a call to say he got a job (was interviewed last week) and he will be getting 9K more than his last job.
Am sooo excited as all thins money I can spend in Boots. Lol.

Slightly boots related......... still quite a lot of S&G previous GWP left in my local store if anyone really needs any I can get for them.
I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o

Anyone in Bristol found the £5 S & G sets or the Botanics £1.95 set. Broadmead is useless for these things. I think they had the razors though if anyone needs them!
  • Does anyone know if the half price Braun electricals ends tonight?? I need to know whether to do an urgent online order!!
  • Amelia's Mummy-huge thanks for the tip on perfumes in TJ Hughes-got the Amarige Mariage for £22 less than it costs in Boots. We were already going to buy this for OH's sister so you've saved us two thirds of the price!! :kisses3:

For anyone else with one nearby I also got Matthew WIlliamson EDP 50ml for £7.99-£42 online

Keeping it boots related ;) , Sheffield fargate had loads of diabetic bars and Remington replacement razor heads reduced-the clearance section is back!

I will be taking mine back that i brought yesterday (teething stuff) SA got them for me and didn't say they were 342 and even better now i know i can use bluey :j

    Thanks ;)

They weren't marked on the shelf as being on 3 for 2, but a lot of stuff on the surrounding shelves was, so I asked for a price check and sure enough - 3 for 2 :T

  • A couple of questions...
I got one of the No7 Compact Mirrorrs a few weeks ago, but it's not working properly (half the lights have gone out). If I take it back without a receipt, will I be able to exchange for something else, and if so, any idea how much it is?
Finally, my AC is playing up and won't always work in the ACM's. Am I risking losing my points if I request a new one? I have over £100 which I want to use for a camera and then some goodies in the sale, and would be gutted if I lost them!

    TIA xx
Yea, if it's faulty you should have no problems even without a receipt, they will give you an exchange or ask them to put it on a gift card. It will be whatever the current price is, so £12.49
Your points will be safe while you are waiting for a new card, CS will just transfer them over, it takes 3-4 weeks for a new one to arrive so if you do buy anything from boots in the mean-time tell the SA who will validate your receipt then you can get them added when you get your new card. hth

Aww, lol. I made that item! Does plumping mean they will make the lips bigger? By gum, mine are big enough as they are. Don't want them any bigger.

Will have a look at the Boots Expert Lip Protector. And thanks for the information GEORDIE-LASS.

I can vouch for the Expert Lip protector. I have extreme problem lips where they will split and flake and sometimes bleed but this cream is one of the best i have found and now i swear by it. It is a lot better than vaseline as it actually soaks into the lips and they are instantly moisturised, rather than just coating them. And i find it better than chapsticks as it is easier to apply and does a better job!

If you got 2 razors and a £7 gift it should come up as
    7.99 for razor
    7.99 for razor
    then £7 gift
342 kicks in so £15.98 to pay
then half price offer kicks in on razors taking £4.00 off each so £7.98
thats how i work it looking at my receipt off yesterday i bought 6 and it comes up as
    razor 7.99
    razor 7.99
    razor 0.00
    razor 7.99
    razor 7.99
    razor 0.00
    then -4.00
    -4.00
    -4.00
    -4.00
    -4.00
    -4.00 total to pay £7.96 saving £39.98

Called in Boots today, but forgot about this.

Does anyone know if it is still on tomorrow? Is it tuesdays when some offers end?

And what is the S&G gift set at £5?

    Thanks.

Just used the £2 healthcare bit of the blue voucher to get £2 off boots teething granules, £4.70 and on 3 for 2. So it appears that they work on most healthcare, not just the couple of brands listed. Till didn't beep.

Also used another £1 voucher from the health club mailing (this beeped, but SA put through). Total £6.40 for 3!!

    .

Oh thanks for this, I hadn't thought to get these with the bluey :D Definitely worth getting some for the medicine cabinet for the little dude, they worked wonders with the little madam. Luckily he's not had too much trouble so far, as I am being much more alternative with his amber teething necklace, works a treat though (and he looks a real cool dude) ;) shame Mr B doesn't sell these!

Mimi - I have been searching for an excellent lip treatment as I am also in the pouty lips club :rotfl: I am totally loving the No7 Deeply Moisturising lipcare, brilliant use of a pinky when they're about (bring back the pinkies I say!) I've got the P&P version to try next too. I also always have my Rose & Co rose petal balm with me, not sure if it might be a bit girly for you ;) but I love it!
3 children under 5 means not enough comping and crafting time

    August wins: Krisprolls tin :rotfl:
September wins: £100 H&M gift card
