  • Thanks ccmummy and Geordie_Lass. Now I can scan the store knowing what I'm looking for. It's sooooo much easier if you have a pic to go by. Must also remember to crawl around on knees looking for the botanics £1.95 sets that will be 'hidden' away somewhere on a VERY low shelf....:rotfl:

  • loads of the S&G sets in the big Bond Street store today if anyone's interested. no £1.95 Botanics sets though.
  • i have been trying to resist the elle ootw, but i have been doing my sums if i wait for thursday, xmas evening i will get an extra 1500 points as i have a voucher for an extra 500 point wys £50
so i would get for a £50 spend
    3 elle set...£35
    6 jk nail files..£18
    and i would get
    1000 points for spending £50
500 coupon from the last event
1500 from the jk nail files
and 212 for the normal shopping spend

so 3 elle set and 6 nail files £53..and i would get 3212 points :j

£17.88 for 3 elle set and 6 nail files......even if you don't want the files it still less than £6 for a elle set!

I did a shop very similar to this today, but not quite as good, as had only extra 250 points coupon from ACM machine instead of your 500 points. I also bought wipes instead of nail files as couldn't see any nail files. These went through the till at £3.50 instead of £3 but SA refunded the extra. Seemed like a good deal for the Elle OOTW.

On a sadder note, an old man was trying to buy a couple of bits in Boots, but couldn't find his wallet. SA said it had probably been stolen, which seemed really sad. He couldn't pay for his stuff but a man stepped in and bought it for him and gave him his bus fare home (which was really kind). Have worried about that poor man all afternoon and wish I had helped him out a bit more, but had little son and baby with me and didn't get my act together. Feel bad now

Poor old man, but nice to hear of the generous fellow who helped him out - there are some decent people about still

Does anyone have one of the above and does it actually do anything other than fluttering a bit of water here and there? Got one for my Mom today, she always has aches and pains in her legs and feet, so I thought it would be a good treat.

Box made it sound like it was all that and then some. Put water in and switched it on. Mom put her feet in and looked at me and said "Is this actually meant to be doing something?". LOL. Thought she was having a laugh, so I tried it too. Other than flinging a bit of water here and there, it seems useless. There is no vibrating action under the soles or where all the fancy holes and dips are.

I'm confused. Did I carry this stupid thing all the way from BOOTS for absolutely no reason? Should have got the cheap and nasty looking NO 7 one at a third of the cost of this !!!!!! one! Mimi is not impressed. *mega pout*

Don't forget to stick your AC in the machine and see if you can get a "X points if you spend £Y" voucher. Also, any points coupons from recent mailings? Double points voucher? I used these last 1000 points day and the obliging SA scanned the lot.
