I think a couple of people also recomended the remmington gold set.
And everyone seems to love GHD's but they are too pricey and oos.
Now I'm dithering again because the red one does look nice, I don't pick up my order until thurs, so if you do try them let us know what they are like!
if you follow thru a couple of posts after my original (1127 on this page http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=16197221&highlight=babyliss#post16197221) there is lots of advice and detailsThanks I am still torn on what to get ..the red ones look sooo nice especially for a pressie, hadn't really taken in the info on the posts about straighteners as wasn't planning on getting any so thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. The 1500 points online is still on til Monday so will have another looksy instore before I decide xxThis is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M. Does anyone know whether there will be any more Christmas nights with the extra 1000points offer?
Was not going to be spending anymore on Xmas presents so did not go to last one but have decided to treat myself to a new digital camera and want to try and get the best deal possible.
officially no but in the current economic climate i wouldnt rule anything out-possibly another mega weekend or something similar0 -
I got my DD the casio digital camera, its pink and cost me 8999 in points. I have to agree with the previous poster that the camera is really good and very easy to use. It can also crop the photo after it has been taken, so you can improve what youve taken.
Hope this info helps someone who is undecided yet.BSC member 137

I bought these yesterday and couldn't wait to try them out. At first they didn't apear to do much more than my old babyliss pro 230's. I then put the fins on the highest setting and as my hair is really thick, I found it a very useful tool to have built in. It combs your hair and pulls it straightas you go.
I then decided to have a go with steam. The water chamber is really small, so after reading reviews on the net, I decided to to use the steam to go over my hair after straightening it. That made the most difference, my son didn't notice (boys) but my 17 yr old daughter commented on it, as soon as she walked in. I actually had shiny hair for once.
I woke up this morning and was amazed that my hair was still the same as it was last night, I am really happy!0 -

re: the razors, £7.82, (they were £7.99) does that mean they have changed the VAT on them, and have they done it across all vat-able products?0 -
Last day at the posh gym in Leeds, and couldn't resist a last big Mimilicious Boots session.
Shop 1: 2 x No 7 Lip Screen things + 1 x No 7 For Men Scrub + 1 x Ladies GWP. Total should have been £18.00 exact (before BOGOF kicked in), but the till took between 10 and 30p off each item, so it didn't work, ended up getting another 2 x No 7 Lip Screen things. GWP went through. Tried using 250 points when you buy any No 7 For Men and 250 points when you buy any No 7, the For Men voucher did not work. Was not impressed, thought about saying cancel the No 7 For Men scrub, but didn't bother! Anyway, paid like £17.00 and got 250 extra points on top of 70 for normal spend.
Shop 2: Whilst going through the above shenanigans, thought about the following which I did. 2 x No 7 Toning Tan Maintainers + 1 x Ladies GWP. Again the till took 23p off each item, but the total before BOGOF was still over £18.00, so GWP worked. Used another 250 points when you buy any No 7, which worked. Paid £9.76 or something and got 250 extra points on top of the 36.
Bobbed over to the gym for a relaxing session in the spa/sauna/steam room. This Bootsing is stressful you know!
Shop 3: I had everything planned in my head and went in like a man possessed! Tore through the store picking up the items I wanted like a tiger chasing after a gazelle (in and amongst exchanging pleasantries with a few of the SA's as they know me now), almost knocked over a few people in the process. Oooops! 1 x Meal Deal. 3 x Wilkinson Sword Razors. 2 x No 7 Toning Tan Maintainers + 1 x Ladies GWP. Should have seen me bounding up and down the stairs, anyone would have thought there was a sale on! LOL. SA decided to go all WOW THAT'S SO CHEAP when she did the Razors. Cancelled the sale 3 times to make sure it was correct. I was like WOMAN, HURRY UP, DON'T YOU KNOW MY TRAIN IS IN LIKE 5 MINUTES! Called over manager. She had a look on the scren and said AND YOUR PROBLEM IS? to the SA, who shut her gob and put everything else through. Manager apologised and said sorry for the delay to me. I was like THANKS DARLING in a really OTT fashion a bit like Bubbles Da Vere from Little Britain. Used 250 extra points when you buy any No 7 again. Paid £17.00ish and got 250 points on top of the normal 70 points.
Just about lugged all my Boots booty home! Woohoo. Last big shop for a long time. Won't be going to Leeds anymore as have no reason to.
Anyway, moral of the story is DON'T pick up 2 x £9.00 NO 7 SUNCARE items if you want the GWP as they won't work. And if you get any other NO 7 items, make the total £19.00 as if you get the deductions too of 10 to 30p off each item, you won't make the GWP spend limit.
