I'm not sure if this counts as a glitch or just a good buy.

On dot.com there is a good deal on Girard fragrances.

Girard New York Nights & Bali Sunrise are currently half price at £8.75 for 30ml Eau de Toilette.

But if you look at the Girard gift sets you can get a set of either fragrance with 30ml Eau de toilette, 75 ml shower gel and 75ml body lotion for the same price of £8.75 instead of £17.50, there is also an offer on to receive 1500 points with 3 sets!

You will then pay £26.25 for 3 sets but get 1500 points back, so in Boots logic it works out as £11.25 for 3 perfume gift sets.

You can also combine these sets with any of the other perfume sets that are in 1500 points when you buy 3 fine fragrance sets.

I hope this helps somebody - it just helped me buy some Christmas presents!

I don't know if this will be any good to anyone or not but I was in the Sunderland store last thurs for a friends pressie and bought mother pucker lip gloss set (3 lipglosses) a shimmering cream and a box of mini's from the soap and glory range (3 for 2) when i got home i wished i'd bought myself some as they seemed a bargain for £10 so I went on line to get some and relised the lip gloss was misspriced instore and should have been £17.50 but was priced at £4.38!!!! So I couldn't get back into town till today (trust kids to be poorly when you want something) I thought they'd have picked up on it but its still priced at £4.38 so a real bargain. Don't know if it's miss prced in all shops but its worth a look.

    Hi Everyone,

Had my best bootsing day yet!

Went in after work to treat myself to some Lancome stuff.
    Bought
    Lancome Maquimac foundation £25
    Lancome facial cleanser £18.50
2 x Jemma Kid wipes £7 (thought these were £3 each oops)
    paracetamol 0.16
    ibuprofen 0.37

    Cost £51.03
Recieved 4200 points WOOHOO thats the best return I've ever got!

    1000 xmas night points
1000 when you buy 2 Lancome
500 xmas night coupon from last time
500 when you buy 2 Jemma Kidd
    300 ACM total spend
    150 mailing ACM
750 when you buy 2 Lancome voucher (thanks CrazyPoshGal!!)

AND when I looked in my bag on the bus the lovely SA had put a GWP in my carrier bag. :money:

I bought one pack cos the others had a 08 sell by date and had to have ANOTHER file to go with it. SEL was £3 but when I checked my receipt it came up as £3.50:eek: As I said earlier SA wouldn't honour £2 sel on jk files at lunchtime:mad:.
  • Has anyone else heard this one - someone at work today told me that due to Credit Crunch Boots are holding a Half-price event tomorrow (Friday)

    Evening

Would be grateful for anyones advise as I have bought 2 no7 Perfect Pedicure sets, with pinkies, to give as Christmas presents.

I wondered if anyone has used one and are they any good? ( I know people haven't rated some of the other no7 electricals very highly) or would I be better off taking them back and exchanging for something else.

    Thanks

i used it last week and found it useless but my friend recommend PedEgg which is 9.99 and that's really good although I had to ask for it when I was in Leeds last weekend as the SA said they were popular...........so why were they hiding them?!

  • Milton Keynes still has some of the No7 Star Pallettes if your local doesn't and you don't want to pay eBay prices...

I had a mega points boosting (haha, just typed bootsing there... think I have something on my mind lol!) shop on Sunday :D Actually wanted to buy the Philips wake up light to beat the winter blues (currently 1/3 off - £66.65 down from £99.99) so decided to use the JK offer points to my advantage:-

16 JK nail files @ £48 (my mum was horrified to hear I spent that much on nail files until I expained the Bootsing logic!)
    2 Carex hand gels @ £1.38 each
    Total - £50.76

Now for the fun points bit :D
    1000 event points
    4000 JK points
    300 wys £35 acm points
    150 wys £20 mailing points
    8 normal points
    200 double points (?!?!)
    Total - 5658 points on a £50.76 spend

Now to actually find the wake up light to spend those lovely points on... think I might have to resort to using the .com ordering service like I did when I ordered GHDs a couple of months back as I'm getting twitchy having so many points on my card!!

I had to take mine back for a refund because it just stopped working one day, I had only used it a few times. Also the batteries seem to get worn down very quickly.
Maybe get a refund then buy the luxury footcare kits £8 and use a £2 bluey instead?

    ANYBODY WANT SOME BLUEYS! :rotfl:
I've just been to the xmas event they are handing them out as you walk around, then you get one with every transaction, I've come out with far more than I went in with!
The Elle bag was oos so I had to order from the photo counter at .com. Because of the complicated nature of my shopping list; online things, instore things, GWPs, free eye dazzles, multiple points vouchers, moc's, blueys, gift vouchers it took nearly half an hour to do  (if you ever order instore from .com take the product code with you 'cos they have no way of finding it themselves). The SA was brilliant :T and very patient, in the end he just scanned every points voucher I handed over, then explained the receipt and totted up all the points I had got (after 5 transactions), he was really pleased with my 2756 for a £68 spend (saved £66), and so was I ;)
Thank you sinw for the eye dazzle moc's. I got eye liner, eye dazzle + GWP for £3.99 x 2 (despite manager saying I needed to make it up to £5) :T
thank you meandmaboy for the points :A it worked even though I didn't have the full amount in gift vouchers!
Thanks for all the advice re the straighteners, I finally got the babylis pro 230 (half price £29.99)
And thanks everyone on here for all hints, tips, and encouragement. Some brilliant shopping lists there everyone :j:jth_minimoneyme.gif:j:j
