I used to have a butter making attachment for my Kenwood Chef but unfortunately it got damaged, so I haven't made butter for a long time. I'm interested in hearing that the K-beater can be used. I'd appreciate a quck description of the method, or is it just a question of whipping the cream till it goes past the grainy stage and seperates out fully?Val.0

My lovely hubby bought reduce extra thick cream, am I correct in thinking this can still be used for butter making?Put the kettle on.0

Yes it can! Whipped in the FP till solid then transferred to a large easi yo pot for the final shaking. Remarkable easy, even thought the cream was straight out of an very cold fridge.Put the kettle on.0

Hi there
It makes lovely butter, I had 4 pots reduced to 15p each the other night and now have well over 1lb butter in my freezer ! Plus I had about 1.5 pints buttermilk which I used to make pancakes and some lovely scones
Have a try

I'd love to have a go at this, so will look out for some reduced cream. I have a food processor, but only the one with the medal blade that chop and that I use for breadcrumbs; making pastry etc. Can someone please confirm that I can make butter with these kind of blades in a food processor.
Thanks2016 is the year I am going to find time for me, and cherish the time I spend with my friends and family. It is also time to save - Aim £4,000 - So far this year - £230/£4,0000 -
