    Making my Own Butter thread ;)

    I made some last year in a my mixer and it was lovely. Make sure you get all the whey out or it goes rancid very quickly.

    Aww i'm gutted! Got out my Elmlea double cream out to make butter then read the thread posted by rosieben (thank you) and Elmlea isn't the same as normal cream so I can't use that :( Better go put it back in the fridge before it goes off! I'll try and get some cheap cream when i'm out tomorrow.

    I got reduced longley farm extra thick cream today, was half price. the first I have made into chocolate icecream MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmm Might try butter with another. I don't ever seem to see really reduced price cream.

    I got some cheap enough cream from Netto today to use for something else. The left over, I am pleased to announce I made butter from. I am actually quite proud of myself. Not sure what it tastes like as I dare not test it lol.

    Only problem I had was getting all the butter milk out.
