    Hi everyone

I thought I had better post an update, I've been really busy with Joshua's website.

I'm trying to raise some money that I borrowed from my mum this month now. I need to get £2,000 by the beginning of October. I've got just over £100 so far and I've got quite a bit on Ebay at the moment which I am hoping is going to get me another few hundred.

I also found out on Saturday that I have won a £300 white gold diamond bracelet!! I will be selling that too so maybe that will be another £100-£200 towards that total.

Most of the money is going to come from AQA hopefully although I haven't managed to do 100 questions a day, I'm going to take some time off towards the end of the month though and just blitz those questions!!

I had a Special Delivery today which was a letter but as I was at work I missed it so I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. What do you all think it is I wonder? I'm guessing that it is the information on the weekend break to Paris that I won recently. But you never know? It could be a cheque or some vouchers or some cold hard cash!! We can all dream can't we?? :rotfl: - it must be something to do with a prize. :D . I will let you all know what it is tomorrow evening.

Thanks again for all of your kind messages.

I'm trying not to over do it this week as I'm on my own at work and I'm basically doing 2 full-time jobs!!

I'm trying to come home in the evenings and relax and not think about that massive pile of work on my desk that waits for me in the morning

I'm very pleased with myself as I have just managed to figure out how to put an avatar on my profile so I have put a picture of my little angel on there :D

Hi Emily! The white gold diamond bracelet sounds lovely, hope you make a lot of money with it. The site you have set up is beautiful, and very moving. It's a credit to you and your family that you are taking the awful things that have happened to you and using them to really make a difference to the lives of others in a similar position. Thanks very much for the birthday message too (and the cake - wish it wasn't a virtual cake lol!). Love Snaggles xx

    Hi Emily

Just want you to know on this site how great Joshua's website is. The cards are gorgeous, too. One of the reasons for this website was to follow your progress with clearing your debts - and we all get bogged down with those. Hopefully your inspiration and the people who come here to swap ideas have helped people through the year to reduce their debts. I know mine have gone down a lot. It is great, however, to just take some time away from that and look at putting money to use for something special and moving. Joshua's website is all that and more. You're doing a grand job with it all, Emily.

    Take care

Thank you for such a lovely message Pilchard :o - good luck with the quiz!!

I just remembered that I was going to say what was in my Special Delivery today, it was the Paris trip details which is good. It'll be nice to get away.

I also got my bracelet through so I will put that on Ebay soon. It is nice but I don't think it is worth £300. We will see how much it gets ;)

    Take care everyone

I wonder if you could all help me with a little brainstorming please?

I need to find some ways of advertising Joshua's website for free/a little bit of money. Are there any websites that you know of that I could post about the website bearing in mind that :

    a) It is a charity
    b) There is a competition there
    c) You can buy hand made cards there.

I can't really afford to spend a lot on advertising for it so I need some DFW ways of advertising it.

One thought I had was to print out some cards/leaflets and post them out with the Ebay stuff that I sell. I could maybe put a few in and ask people if they would mind handing them out at their workplace or something like that.

I would be very grateful for any ideas that you wonderful people could come up with :D

    Thank you all :A
