  • Count me in, when can I start? PM me the details if the offer still stands?
  • I've done this for fun a year ago, not for making money but I did make a lot without going for real money.

You need to spend a lot of time online.

When you first start your an average avatar, the only good feature is your chatting ability at first. You need to learn the ropes, spend a long time online have a job and are you thinking of cashing in next? No you need to spend it, or some of it in SL to make your avatar more original. You will spend lots of money just making yourself look good.

If you have lots and lots of time on your hands fancy having some fun and then eventually one day making money go for it!!! You will also learn other things as you go along like how to make things.

this might sound like a stupid question but would i have to have my own house to work an a 'virtual escort' or could i use somewhere else?

nope you don't need your own house. most escorting is done in the escort clubs.

  • Hi Guys,

Hopefully one of the more technically minded can help me. I downloaded SL to my laptop, but it keeps crashing because my graphics does not match the system requirements. Is there some sort of graphics card I can buy that will plug into one of the USB Ports or somewhere on the Laptop to increase the graphics?
I'm using Windows Vista. SL says the minimum system requirements are:
    NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better
OR ATI Radeon 9500 or better
    OR Intel 945 chipset
    and they recommend:
    NVIDIA Graphics cards
    7000 Series:
    7600, 7800, 7900
    8000 Series:
    8500, 8600, 8800
    GeForce Go Series:
    7600, 7800, 7900
    ATI Graphics Cards
    X1600, X1700, X1800, X1900
    x2600, x2900
    x3650, x3850

I find it all very confusing! Does this mean the graphics card has to be inbuilt into the laptop?
    Thanks :)
  • I should imagine that this could become very addictive
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

if you've got a laptop, it's likely it has a very basic, bog standard graphics card.

    this should help

Please can someone let me know more about this please. It sounds very interesting and I am intrigued.

    ;)
  • ok, first and foremost I should say that this has not, and never has been, a job in any sort of traditional sense.

mandi is not, and never was, an employer in any sense of the word.

this was nothing more than an introduction to second life, and the suggestion of virtul escorting as a possible source of income.

all of the leg work is down to you, the second life user. that was always the idea - you'd just be given some basic information about second life and what it is, and then it would be down to you to download and install the client, set up your avatar and go off to find work.

that's it, that's basically what mandi would have told you in a pm.
