Too scared to do Facebook, Pip's Mum - the kids love it but not for me - might find too many faces that I never thought I'd see again!! Great link though especially as it earns money. Hope the food shop was not too much of a task - we are off 9.30 in the morning to get a scanner and be outta there by 10.30.. Last weekend the scanners were all out of action - what a chore to shop normally and pile it all on the conveyor at the end!!

Good morning everyone!!!!! hope everyone is feeling ok and had a good weekend??!!

we had a lovely day yeasterday, we ate so much in the day that none of us could face any tea so never went to maccy d's in the end. ds1 got loads of lovely pressies and enjoyed having his 2 cousins to play with all day (they are all similar ages, one is only 5 months older)

i am also happy to report that i did another weeks meal plan and shopping list and my fella went shopping again and brought it in at just over £35 again!!!! he is good but not heaping too much praise on him or his head will swell too much:D put £5 in sealed pot.

my fella is doing some overtime today, cash in hand so that will come in handy.........

found all the paperwork for the sofa today and i have managed to shave £240 off my debt as the sofa's didnt cost what i thought they did!!!! (blonde moment again:rolleyes: ) really dont know where i got £2,300 from?????

the task for today is to sort out all the stuff to sell on ebay and photograph it and start putting them on, hoping to catch some of the xmas shoppers....... when is the last post does anyone know??

thanks for your post angela, its good to know that we hopefully wont revert back to our old ways and get back into debt again. would hate to think all this hard work could so easily be undone.

Last lot I listed I offered free postage and it worked as a sprat to catch a mackerel, definately got higher bids for items.

Great news about paying extra off your debts, that was a nice surprise I bet:j

I was really pleased as I went to Lidl, armed with meal plans list, and got 2 weeks shopping for £41 had budgeted for £70 so was REALLY happy:o Going to put the spare into a pot for towards my tax and MOT due in January:eek:

Has anyone heard from Mummy? I hope she is not still poorly.

well added up the complete debt and not so much paid off due to the increased overdraft so the saving made on the sofa's has evened it out, but didnt expect much in a month. think will try and add up every 3 months or so so i can see progress and not get too disheartened with the speed.

you are doing really well pipsmum looking at your sig!!!! hope mine will look like that soon, you have got quite a bit off your debts!!

I have just had a good day thats all!!
I am really trying to get them down as much as possible before my full pay runs out. Over half of my wages goes on debt repayments so I figure the lower I can get those the longer I will be able to stay off work on SMP without life becoming too unbearably stressed.

You are also doing well, its just a shame about your overdraft going up a bit but these things cant be helped. Anything we do is better than what we would have been doing pre MSE.

i should hopefully see more happening next month as made my first payment on the egg cc this month and didnt pay off anything on the hbos cc last month as moved £2k to the egg cc. the way things are i wont be debt free till 2014:mad: as thats when i will of payed off the loan!!!!!!:eek: think some overpayments/saving up to pay it off will need to be done once the other debts are payed off. so want to be debt free before then!!

I doubt very much I will be debt free by 2009 like the challenge I joined aims for but at least it should give me some motivation to keep going and pay off as much as I can by then.
We both musnt forget that we are new to this DFW lark and it took us years to build up the debt so its not going to go overnight - shame!! Every month will be an improvement.

hows the breadmaker going?? i am loving mine, had some shop bought bread at my mums the other day and it didnt taste as nice as the hm bread!! the only thing i find annoying is the few slices in the middle that has the whole in the bottom from where the kneading thing is.

Its ok, i have found mummy!!!!!!!!!!!!! at the risk of sounding like a mother (:rotfl: ) i checked her diary!

i have decided i really need to start making a list of everything i need to do as i keep forgetting stuff!!! (blonde and baby *2 brain)

so my list so far is:

• take gas and elec readings and email scottish power
• ring admiral for car insurance quote (wont give me one on internet)
• check when next statement due
• ring hbos to see if i can make overpayments on loan
• set up bank account for ds2
• write out xmas cards and deliver and post
• check ebay as not recieved the tea towels i bought (need so ds1 can paint for pressies, some are to send)
• do some baking as all cakes and biscuits i made have gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!:p

will add as i think of new things i need to do, which will prob be in about 10 mins!!!!!

Glad you found mummy!!

Lists are definately the future!! I would be lost without my notebook which I have to have in my bag at all times or I would be lost. If you do all that lot you will be doing well.

Breadmaking going well but yes it is annoying where the stirrer thing has been.
