Hi Lottie,
We have another thread on this subject, so I'll merge yours with that one. As always the posts are in date order so you will have to read from the beginning to see all the replies.

Yep it's a type of fungus but so are mushrooms, mmmmmmmmmmushroomsI personally would have re-frozen it its not meat after all, but thats IMHO and not to be taken as hard fact
Just my opinion0 -
My first go at batch cooking - may have made a mistake!
Just cooked 2 bags of frozen quorn mince as bolognese to freeze in portions, then spotted on the bag "do not refreeze if thawed". Forgive me if this is a silly question, but does that mean if just thawed out, or can you freeze it again if you have cooked it? Anyone done this and lived to tell the tale, or are we eating quorn for every meal for the next few days?!0 -
Hi!
It´s OK to re-freeze if cooked. Have done this many times, as my daughter is a vegetarian and I cook in batches for her to defrost and heat up meals when I am not at home.0 -
i always cook far too much chilli and spag bol so always freeze whats left. i've never read the packet so didn't realise it said don't and i'm still here to tell the tale0

Thank goodness for that I just thought of this as I made cottage pie with half and half and froze some of it.One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Agreed. Think it means you can't stick back in the freezer once it has defrosted without cooking it first.
I do this all the time and I am still alive! Fear not.
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0
