Kent Reliance Building Society

Hi all,
I'm thinking of setting up a 2 year fixed bond with Kent Reliance but I'm a bit concerned about the fact it is only operated via post. How often is communication sent out in the form of letters? I live in student halls and my mail often goes missing so I'm slightly concerned that my statements will be read by someone else and since I'm investing a sizable amount, I'm not sure if this a good idea!
Many thanks,

goldilockz - when we've had various one year bonds with KR in the past, we normally only received notification from them by post shortly before the bond has matured, offering reinvestment options if wanted. With a two year bond I would imagine the procedure would be the same and you wouldn't receive any notification at the end of one year. Could you not explain the situation to them and ask for mail to be sent to your parent's address as I imagine by the time the bond matures you will have moved out of halls and possibly into rented accommodation somewhere?0

Funnily enough, the branch listed on their website looks least like a "branch". It's just two windows, above the supermarket. The larger "branches" as I shall call them, where they do not share a building with anyone else (this is how I'm defining branch for now), aren't listed!
And, all in Kent, yes.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

But the agencies DO involve KRBS share a building with someone else! It is just that the agent is the person they share the building with, rather than some unrelated organisation (like whichever supermarket you are talking about). In fact, that is the definition of an agency - a third party operates the accounts on the building society's behalf.0
