    It's been deleted.

  • Yes as I have said before they own their own call centre/back office company which keeps their overheads really low meaning they can pay good interest rates. I have been with them for years and always found them helpful.
  • IIRC they only have one Branch, and a handful of agents:D

Well, I don't know what counts as a branch then! There's only one listed on their website, but I've used several.

Presumably you have used several of their agencies, which might look like branches! If you were happy with the service, it doesn't really matter if it's a branch or an agency. Presumably the "several" you used were in Kent?

Have had various fixed rate bonds with them over the years and that's where my Cash ISAs are held. Have always found them very efficient and helpful, and they do appear in several tables as being one of the most consistent providers. They don't offer all these "introductory" bonus rates so what you see is what you get - very transparent.

My wife and I have had cash ISA's with KR for several years. Their CS has always been quick and reliable. They have tended to keep rates at a good level over long periods.

However, I was disappointed when they reduced their cash ISA rate to 5.76% on 1st March this year at a time when there were lots of other providers still well above 6%. So what did Muggins do? I set up an Icesave ISA and transferred a load of money across!

    LOL, Geoff_W.

    Some rates aren't super-high without a reason, I guess. ;)

Me and the missus had cash ISA's with them for a couple of years, customer service was good. Unfortunately the rates dropped a lot recently (before the base rate cuts) so we transferred to the Manchester BS a few weeks ago (6.5% fixed for a year, nice!)

What happens when a fixed rate bond ends? The bond has to be opened by post, so at the end of the term do they send you a cheque or put it in another account. I do not live near a branch, so this has to be taken into account

    Thank you for your email.

Prior to the completion of the bonds we will write to you and let you know about the reinvestment options

which we have and also if you wish to we can arrange for the proceeds to be sent by a cheque or

to be transferred into the bank account.

Should you require any further assistance, please call us on any of the numbers below or email us at mail@krbs.com
