have you got the names and contact details of the companies 3 were billing for and the dates?
you should not have to pay for something you did not request or agree to pay for. 3 would not have a chance in court if they could supply no evidence that you had requested the 'services'. that's why they have sold the 'debt' to the debt collectors.
when something like this happened to me i sent all the information to my mp. i told him it was ultimately the UK governments responsibility to protect the public from illegal practices of UK companies and concerns relating to regulatory failure..0
