Why the boycott?
As for aubergine gateau - its likely to be slices of aubergine pressed into a mould, possibly with other veg and a tomato type sauce so it looks like a wee cake. Could actually be quite lovely...

Edit: I took that to mean you can't have 4, 5 and 6 am I reading it wrong?
4 & 5 are fine, in fact I'm having 5:p
Of the 'can't have' ones it is as much because its somewhere I've never been so the standard of the kitchen is an unknown as much as anything so shellfish is a definite no and I just generally have steered clear of unpasteurised cheese and liver and anything that might have raw egg. If I was cooking I might have the choc mousse or the cheese salad because I would know the source of the ingredients;) .

That Aubergine Gateaux looks, possibly, the most unappetising thing I've ever seen!
Looks like a 'bottom -of-the-fridge' recipe to me.
Hi everyone

I had something similar years ago at a turkish restaurant and it was really lovely. The aubergine had a really smoky griddled taste and it was layered with big slices of tomato, a huge mushroom and mozzarella and then loads of olive oil on it. I'm not a big veggie fan, but it was lovely.
