My Home page appears to have been hijaked, instead of being my own homepage it is MSN instead, this is a brand new computer, only had it a week. I have done the usual: tools - internet options - use default (which should be Tesco.net) and apply but it will not budge from MSN! I have downloaded Spybot, Spyware blaster and Avast and also got Norton 2006 and Adaware they have found several problems but not fixed the homepage problem, can anyone help me as I dont know what to do next, and please keep it VERY basic as I am a total novice. HELP!!!

Hi,
Okay, go to the site that you want your homepage to be, ie. Tesco.net, then go to Tools, Internet Options, General, click Use Current, and Apply
Hope this helps0 -

I posted this proggy on another thread http://pjwalczak.com/spguard/index.php you can tell it what you want as your home page and it should make sure nothing can change it.0

startpage guard has been used with some success by others so you could follow mr_fishbulb's advice.
Your new PC isn't a a Dell is it?
If so it probably came with MyWay search bar/facilites pre-installed. Also WeatherBug. Neither of these are advised and both should be removed. Despite what Dell says on it's website about the reasons for this move I still can't understand why a major PC supplier would deliver PCs with this rubbish installed. What's worse they aren't very easy to remove.
Do let us know how you get on.0 -
It is not a Dell computer but a Packard Bell. I am really geting desperate now I just dont know what else to try, does not seem to be affecting anything else just the home page but worries me what else it may be doing.0
