Hi Littlepinkstars how you doing, really well done on clearing off so many debts! Not far to go now!

I have a load of storecards that I opened when I was a student, thankfully all paid off now but I can't bear to close them because occasionally they do the offers and things for cardholders don't they. If I use them now though I try and pay them all off.

One thing I try and do to give me an incentive not to spend it this... if I am tempted to spend on a storecard, I say to myself right Silaqui, if you do this you will have to pay it off at the end of the month which is £20/£50/£100 quid you can't pay off your other debts. Now the quicker you pay off those other debts the better, because look - add up the payments you make each month on just repayments.

For me it's about £500 in total (including overpayments). When I'm debt free, I would be able to go on a £500 shopping spree EVERY SINGLE MONTH if I wanted to - and I wouldn't be getting in debt because of it! Forget credit ratings all that jazz - I wanna go guilt free shopping (like duty-free, but better!) lol xx
Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it... :o
  • thank you, thats a really good idea, i will try that next time i feel the urge to spend on the cards!
