Just finished cleaning the unused fridge :o I stopped using it . . . . months ago :o:o.

Bought a new one last Christmas, the old one is still in the kitchen because it gives me somewhere to put the stereo. I just opened the door to see (which I had left slightly open but someone has helpfully closed) and it is

I just had one of those overwhelming moments of 'is it just me or is everything rubbish', triggered by the discovery that someone put the cheese back without wrapping it up so it has gone hard. Not catastrophic or life threatening but I just want to cry which I find rather pathetic  . Just too much on top of all the other issues at the moment. And no AF isn't due :p .

Right, I must pull myself together and do something useful. Anyone up for a HHC at 1.15pm?

Second estate agent came at 10.30am and I remember vaguly the dorrbell going and then my husband moaning at me because I didn't get up and that the shades blinds person was there at the same time and we would never get such a good deal on blinds.... Yes, I was still in bed, and DH was at work. DH got up and took kids to school/nursery (with only 3 tantrums) as I have another ear infection from hell and had been up from 4am-6am howling in agony. DS1 was also up befroe 4am watching telly so then tried it on saying he was not well when school time came around, oh no your not mister your just tired and it's tough your going and maybe next time I say 'it's 4am get back to bed' you will listen!

Will do a bit of housework before I have to go get the kids (ear is worse at night anyway) there was things I had to do today but I don't remember what so sod it.

Or should I go into town for some retail therapy?

    I'm for a HHC at 1.15

Grate the cheese and use it for cheese on toast or on tuna pasta bake.. it is fine when melted!

Hugs honey, have had plenty of them and like you, will have plenty more - it's just the last straw syndrome - usually the reason I flare up at the kids coz I can't handle another thing - even hard cheese! (now there's a saying!!!)... Pop it into a tupperware container and it usually softens up a bit - if not, cut the hard bit off and have cheese on toast - just remember, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade! (stupid saying, coz I've never got enough sugar!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: )

Now that's the great thing about this thread - you don't actually have to read it all to catch up - I have had days like that and physically don't have the time, but everyone on here is so great and usually give you a summary of the really important things in their posts - it's there when you need it (all the time of course), and although addictive and you probably will find that you have to at least skim the posts so that you KNOW you are up-to-date, it's not a prerequisite and you can spend your time more productively flying... (which is why we ALL make sure we read back, procrastination and all that!:D )

I have this problem too. Everyone in my house seems to think (even if it's at a purely subconscious level) that I am the maid! I've now told DD1 (age 12) that she must at least put her dirty clothes in the wash and not leave them on her bedroom floor, otherwise it will come to Monday and her games kit isn't clean. And it will be all her fault :D

btw - grate the cheese and keep it in a tub (goes further too) :D
