G&B - thats is scary but I am so pleased to see she went back to school today - it must be tempting to wrap her in cotton wool all the time - you are amazing to cope so calmly - I dont think i could!!
(Does anybody else find they spend so much time reading about flying, that they don't actually get any done?:rotfl:)
justamum oh yes - I have already spent 2 hours on here this morning!!!! I must get back into dusty's habit of only having 15 mins at a time! (or was it sexymouse? how is she - has she managed to get settled in yet?)
serena hugs for DD - what a nasty piece of work he sounds!
supergirl hope the improvement continues babes - that was a very good description of the lamp - I am now interested but I really do think I need a jolt to wake up as I can sleep through lots of things so I suspect gentle wakening might not be for me!!!!
still havent got a list together ................

Hello, lovelies - thanks for the replies re: the worksurface. I had a look on the DIY forum here and the general consensus is that the high gloss laminates are easily scratched, even if you use worktop protectors/cutting boards etc  which is a shame as I had rather set my heart on a polished granite look. Hey ho, so off to the DIY places on Saturday to see what else is available.
One side of the kitchen is now finished, except for the tiling, and the STUFF from that side was checked over and either put back or boogied out. So now we start on the other side *sigh*. I also need to sort out the spare room, as it has become a dumping ground distressingly quickly, so after the Tesco Trawl this evning, I shall sally forth, bin bag in hand!
Wednesday wrecking - spare rooms/neglected rooms!!
Level One
Find the floor.. if you can't do it all just do some! [strike]Found it - at least the mess seems to be neatly stacked on the bed  [/strike]
Level Two
Vacuum said piece of floor
Wash the windows
Level Three
Fill a binbag of rubbish and a binbag for charity shop.. only 37 sleeps before the fat guy comes and we need space!.. assuming we've been good!!
Wipe any sticky grots and dust away
[strike]Collect all the dirty laundry into the basket[/strike]
Extras- Wipe down all the paintwork
- Make an appointment for your christmas hair cut.. and make sure you keep it!! This is your treat and you deserve it.. can't have you looking all scruffy for the big man himself can we? You might scare the rein-diators. Awww - I need to find another hairdresser who isn't going to charge scary amounts for a C&BD. Otherwise, I will just have to let it grow. Maybe a model night????

toots - thank you. Actually, he's always seemed shy and very pleasant when I've met him, but definitely showed another side of his character yesterday! All that becasue DD arranged to sleep over at a girl friend's on Saturday night, and he wasn't happy about it - what's it got to do with him anyway??? Can't see this one lasting very long at this rate. I told DD to make it quite clear to him that if he ever speaks to her like that again, then it will be the last time. Now all I've got to do is keep DS1, DS2 and OH away from him:D
Okay, picked up DS1, had coffee, doodled around on here wasting time, and now I really must get on and clean the bathroom...It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
ARGH!!!!!! I go into my nice clean kitchen to start sorting cupboards, next thing I know, theres a tray of fairy cakes and mini lemon drizzle loafs in the oven, and my kitchen is significantly less clean and/or tidy!!!!!! My own fault I guess coz I decided to organise the baking cupboard first:rolleyes: , which is as disorganised as ever, but there a few less bits in there I suppose. But I was suppose to be catch up flying!
Right, *shakes self* am gonna sort myself out some lunch (maybe a cake or two) and then get back to the flying since the food'll be outta the oven by then...have got two loads of laundry through the machine though, and another about to go in:D
...goes off mumbling 'how can anyone manage to start baking instead of flying?????'Now MARRIED!11/09/100 -

Phoned the dentist - apparently it is the same anesthetic they have been using for years which I must have had several times.
Did mention it to the Dr - he said unlikely to be local anesthetic but could have been a reaction to having the tooth out.
Also confirmed that I do have osteoporosis (probably only early stages) so home with more pills to take and app. for blood test:eek:
Looks as if that fall may have been a blessing in the long run.Pink_Fairy wrote: »Cats, dogs, fish and puppies fed!0 -

Thanks Toots It is SO nice to have you back babes!!!! How was your [STRIKE]dragon[/STRIKE] mother?
Re: The Lamp: Because it stimulates the change in hormone levels i.e. stopping Melatonin (sleep hormone) and starting the production of cortisol (wake up hormone) It means that you wake up without needing the jolt. My DH could sleep through (and has ) an earthquake and a window smashing!!! He wakes up to this really well.
It's one to think about. I have to say though, it doesn't feel like anything amazing at the time. It's only when you realise that you haven't had to have the radio blasting at full volume in the dark, making you feel as though you've had a crash team re-starting your heart... that you recognise how flipping amazing this lamp is.MMSSB Club Founder Member

Pink_Fairy wrote: »:coffee: There you go! How's LO today? Sorry, I'd missed about the pre-existing condition. Very worrying for you, esp pneumonia! DD was looking up about it when I started with the pleurisy and panicking (she's good at that.
)
Thanks pink fairy. She is fine today, though my dad gave me a hard time for sending her back to school today:mad: I wouldnt have done it if i didnt think she was up to it!
She has a fair few medical issues unfortunately - med students kept coming round when she was in to have a look at her. She takes everything in her stride though, which is good, it would be really hard if she was upset by it all:oThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
