I've had a look on the indexed collection for meal plan/ menu ideas. I'm thinking leftovers or soup is probably the way to go and then just try not to pick...I'm thinking of not buying crisps and choc bars anymore and just do some baking for lunch boxes...I think the fact they are easy to hand means I chomp on those...

pigpen just did a search, no N95 one I am afraid, I did have a spare car chargering one for them but can't find it, then thought that ain't much use to you anyway
Michelle you are brave! I have glanced at the beginning of next year but that's about as far as I have got, I might have a go this evening see what comes up..........
LilMissEmmylou you can tell you haven't been around long as you haven't seen what can become a 10 page rant about unhelpful partners and children. My friend and I spent a hour moaning about them this morning :o All I can say is you are lucky yours wipes the benches, wish mine did!
johanne ((hugs)) like I said at the mo he has the best of both worlds, roof over his head and built in childcare for his daughter. When he moves out he might just realise what he's lost...when he's looking after her to spend time with her and doing it on his own, on your terms, it'll probably hit him how much you do! Been through it myself, we're back together now but was in an identical situation a few years ago, we split and he did a few little token things I asked him to do then got gradually worse and more annoying until I told him to leave........tail between his legs within weeks.

Been out all morning visiting friend after taking DS1 to school because my phone went flat so I couldn't ask his taxi to get him, I couldn't find it because it was flat, lesson learned must write number down!

Sorry computer started playing up so sent and thought will come back when it behaves, anyway, after friends went shopping, cleared stuff out of my car which DP is now vacuuming so he can use it to go away Sunday, like I said why should I when it's his mess and his friends going in it (part of me in a strop as I was supposed to go with them and visit AnW'sMum then more decided to go so no room :( ). Quick tidy round, washer/dryer switch, vacuum (once DPs finished with it) then collect DS2. Lazy evening for me I think, feel shattered.
One day I might be more organised...........

Why am I so incapable of clearing clutter? Someone please tell me!!! Cleaning is easy...it's clearing the way for cleaning where I get stuck!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible
  • :hello: - I'm back. Didn't have to wait at all, which was good. Results should be at the surgery late next week.

I've just mopped the kitchen and dining room floors - I love my Vileda Supermop and Stardrops!

I want to do my ironing after lunch as well.

I'm thinking "What's the difference between a fireman and a soldier?"

"You can't dip a fireman in a boiled egg!" :D:rotfl::D:rotfl: It's the way I tell 'em!

Anyway, I'm not having omelette, I'm having dippy eggs with fresh bread (from breadmaker) soldiers! nomnomnom

Carol - well done, hun. Sounds like offloading a bit helped you get things into perspective and you're taking steps in the right direction. :T

Johanne - I'd leave him! If he ends up late for work, it'll be no one's fault but his. You've done your bit. But.....................if all you really want to wake him you could try testing all your smoke alarms then douse him in cold water to put the "fire" out! :rotfl:

Off to do lunch. Anyone want a :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee:?

try and be ruthless GRYFON, i read somewhere that if something is not sentimental or useful then you probably don't need it, thats why most things in my house are sentimental and useful, even the things shoved on top of the attic and lurking in the attic!!!!!!!!!!

I find my problem is when its DH's clutter..I can't throw it out..!
There is a big pile in our bedroom that I hoping to get him to help me put in the loft but he's still at work so it'll have to wait for next week. It's easier to get the children to do theirs!

  • Gryfon - when I'm trying to do a big de-clutter I get three bags or boxes: 1 for things to keep, 1 for things which really are rubbish and 1 for recycling. Once I've sorted everything I check the recycling to see whether I'll take it to the Charity shop or Freecycle it, put the rubbish bag out for the bin, or the next tip trip (we usually go every 2 -3 weeks as we take our cardboard, the binmen don;t lift it and it overfills the bin), the find homes for the stuff that needs to be kept.

    Does that help at all?

Oh and pardon my manners. Welcome to yet more newbies. :hello:
