  • I'd be a wreck, I'm pathetic with health things.

Me too also - get in an absolute panic about nothing.

I read michelle's post last, so will start there!I haven't seen your little ones, but it sounds like it could be teething with DS2. Some babies are naturally more cuddly than others - I read somewhere that they are 'high needs' babies - they just need to be close to you all the time. I found it helped me cope and not feel resentful that DS2 just needed me to cuddle him more when he was little. Don't worry too much about DS1 not remembering to say please all the time. I once asked my mum how long it took before the children would remember to say please and thank you without prompting. She reckoned around 18 years.:D

toots - that is fabulous news, I am so pleased for you! I have been out all day, or I would have added to the list as well!
No. 16 (?) Toots has fabulous taste in smilies;) for example!

    flower - brilliant news!:j

poohbear - that's not a very friendly thing to do. I don't live near enough, but I love shopping, and DD and I would be there like a shot!

    carol - what PF said.:D

soappie - take care of yourself, and I hope you feel better very soon

valli - tissue for me too please - sniff. I have had fabulous support from my flylady friends on here - and I can't tell how much I appreciate it.

My five? Mmmm...DD says I have a pretty smile, I see the positive in people and situations, I am quite good at crafty things (knit, sew, crochet, macrame, tatting etc), I am a good gardener, I am resilient and patient (both of which I learned from having children, and have proved very useful as a teacher!)

Good day at work today, probably the first since I started there, so fingers crossed this continues! Supply today and Tuesday, so extras for the savings! I'll have to fit the flying into the weekend and Wednesday!

Just asked DS's about the good things, and they said immediately and together 'You can cook', they added - you're funny...in your own way, (yeah, right!), and you're very supportive of others. I quite like my children today!

I'd love to start learning again but it works out at about £1300 if i need to do the 65 hours. That wipes out all my savings which were to tide me and sarah over the next year or so. :(

If i could do it in 35 lessons i think i could manage to budget for that. I planned on doing the passplus course too which is £150 extra after ive passed but heard good things about doing it.

Why wouldn't your other hours count???? Most of driving is confidence, so 30 hours behind the wheel has to count for something? get yourself some more confidence if you can with family and see if you can do one of those crash courses that they do for a set fee - also this might help - http://www.bsmpasspromise.co.uk/ga/

Poohbear - Hugs honey - I agree with Pigpen on this - friends have rows the same as everyone else, but you're never hurtful to a friend, you put them straight without that. But I am sure you know this deep down... enjoy your bath and your wonderful family, they are the ones you need to be around - take care, :A

soappie - take care, hope you feel better soon.

Still haven't properly caught up with the thread, probably won't manage it all this week! Enjoyed my day off mainly, was just nice to be lazy. Just drinking a beer and enjoying seeing DH relaxed for the first time in ages! He's watching I'm a celebrity - very unlike him - whilst I'm sorting the xmas present spreadsheet!!

    Hi all,

Yay Toots:beer: thats brilliant news, i'm really pleased for you.

Hugs to Carol and Poohbear and soappie.

Johanne OH taught me to drive in his car down the back roads, and then on the main roads once i was more confident. I used to drive everywhere we went together. After about 6 months i bought my own car and had lessons to get rid of my bad habits. I had lessons for about 2 months ( one a week ) then stopped for 2 months as i didn't like my instructor, then i had another 2 months of lessons with another instructor. The whole time i was driving with OH as much as i could. So all in all about a year but only about 16 lessons. I passed first time ( good job the examiner didn't see me almost crash into a skip on the way to my test:o for some reason my instructor was really shocked i passed;) ). I was 23 and just found out i was pregnant.

Oh by the way i've not done a lot today either i have a severe case of lazyitus:o .

  • Toots - that's great news. I'm so pleased for you. :j:j:j

Soappie - hugs to you and hope you feel lots better soon. Only had proper flu once and it's terrible. You must try to do as little as possible. Zinc and echinacea help reduce the severity, and Lemon/Ginger Herbal tea is very refreshing, but don't move around too much if you can avoid it because of dizziness.

I've decided to go back to the doc's tomorrow as I still feel bleugh! I am soooooooooo tired, do one small thing and am exhausted, get breathless walking up the stairs etc. I know when I go back to work the pressure will be on to work flat out, with about an hour and a half's drive each way on several days, lots of standing, in and out of care homes and having to talk a lot (yeah, I know, I do it on here, but I mean verbally!) If I could have a week doing admin/referencing/assessing at home I could do it, coz I'd be in the same temperature, no physical exertion etc, but I don't think I'm up to it yet. The really annoying thing is that I'll do all that work and we'll probably still lose the contract, but I would not need to work flat out anyway if I had been given more support 12 months ago when I told them the programme on my laptop wasn't working properly. It took them four months to deal with it so there's been a backlog ever since that I've never been given sufficient "home time" to deal with.

Oh well, hot chocolate, bath and bed for me! Night all and hope you all sleep well. It's another day tomorrow and we'll all cope with whatever life throws at us better if we can get a good night. Good night and God bless. x
