Thanks for your help and advice, I have tried several of these 0844 access numbers that are listed via the callchecker, each one I have tried there has been an announcement you cannot make calls to this country through best minutes or whichever 0844 number I tried!!! Have you any further advice and why are these numbers listed if you cannot make the call.

I have no idea! But I just discovered today that you can actually ring Malaysia free of charge using VoiP.

All you need is to download the software, set up an account with them and deposit €5.00, you can then call Malaysia (or any other countries on the free destinations list) free of charge. You also need to have either a headset or a Voip Phone connected to your computer.

I will have a look at that link, so many thanks for your reply, my sister phoned United Arab Emirated for the first time yesterday and had no problem at all, she also said the line was very clear.

You don't need actually to put yr deposit as calling to Malaysia is included in the superdeal for FREE.
