There was an article in the local paper where my parents live when we were there over Christmas - the one there had sold £50,000 worth of gift vouchers before Christmas and so the paper was advising anyone who'd received one to go and spend it ASAP.

In our local paper on Friday that MVC kendal is honouring gift vouchers. Wouldn't keep hold of them too long though!!

Not sure if this is in the right place but I read in my local paper that people only have until 4pm today to use them. As from monday 41 of its stores will be taken over by Music Zone.

The kendal one is being taken over by music zone from Monday - yay! They always seem to have good prices!

I went into the Newbury branch today. They had reduced the electrical items by 50%. There was a 512mb Akai MP3 player for £25 and a boombox CD/radio with DAB for a similar price.

Went into MVC at the weekend - they're closing down.
30% off PSP games and consoles.
they had gigapacks which consist of the standard stuff plus a 1 gig memory card and 2 games (pursuit force and a soccer game)
in the local branch they had 5 left
with the discount that makes them £188 - only a tenner more than the standard pack.
usual price is £269 - good discount if you're lookig for one anyway.

I was in an MVC shop in Barnsley at the weekend and they are having a massive sale (I think they are closing down)

Anyway, CD's & DVD's are reduced by 30% and 50%. They've got the full range to pick from. I picked up some real bargains at £3 to £6. They've also got T-Shirts, posters, books and magazines etc.

I hope this helps someone.
