Story in paper tonight, MVC have gone into administration. Shops are selling stock off reduced in price. Might be worth a look in the next few weeks.

This has been known for a while now but finally went into MVC today and as i suspected it is the worst "sale" i have ever been into. They are offering between 10 and 30% off many items although as their prices are higher than most places anyway you can get them cheaper from anywhere else.

Honestly do not waste your time with this so called closing down sale

I agree with you burbs. I have been told my a member of staff in my local branch 'Chichester' that they won't be reducing havily until week commencing 10th Jan and 17th Jan. This is also the case with all other stores in the country from what I have been told my a number of friends who I have asked to check in their locals.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
it's marginally more expensive in the Exeter one's 'sale' than in Virgin/HMV... when they don't have sales on!

  • it looks like they have put everything back upto RRP price, then offering between 10-30% off stock! when i went in there i was like huh?
  • I had a look today and I was very disappointed! Will wait for a while and have another look. Hopefully it will end up like the Our Price one where everything was dirt cheap!

They do seem to have put the prices up before taking the 10-30%. Before christmas they had CD's for £3-5.99 now they are all around £10.
  • Not surprised they weren't successful. I tried to buy a CD in there once and it was such a rigmarole "fill in this form" and so on. Went up the street and bought it in HMV instead.

    Hence why I said
Might be worth a look in the next few weeks.
When the town centre Halfrauds branch closed the sale reductions weren't any good until the last week.
