Don't know how good Binatone might be but M&S give a 2 year guarantee so for just over £50 I'm happy. Let's hope my hubby is too!DEBT FREE BY 60Starting Debt 21st August 2019 = £11,024

The only advice about actually buying a sat nav is to make sure it takes full postcodes. My husband's did but mine only takes first 4 letters/numbers which is practically useless!
This came up in a newspaper letter recently. On some sat navs you put in the first bit of the postcode then press enter and the box then pops up for the second part of the code.Try it and see.0 -

Thanks for that... I'll have a look. My sat nav is a Navman (I think!)

I just got a Garmin and my OH has a Tom Tom. He kept saying I was making a mistake. He's a courier and a walking talking Sat Nav anyway. Anyhow, whenever he's been with me all I hear is "mine dosn't do that" or "thats good" and he now admits that my Garmin is better than his Tom Tom. Ha, I win.
Having said that I find both very frustrating at times. Might be my age but I find myself talking to it, like when I spotted a shopping centre just off the M1 and decided to detour. All the blinking thing kept saying is "re calculating, re calculating" and although I shouted at it that I was ok and knew what it was doing the blinking thing still kept on and on and on............... bit like the old man really.0 -
Does anyone know anything about the RAC SatNav?
There was an offer on the Ideal World shopping channel and I'm toying with getting it for DH's birthday at the beginning of the year.0 -
I bought the Navman S30 from Sainsburys for £49.99 yesterday. Cheapest one i could find!0

Not true. I have a Navman ICN720 and Tom Tom oneXL which I use for work. Navman wins every time. Tom tom will always take me down dirt tracks (even after selecting fastest route) and regularly freezes so I have to reset it with a needle into the reset button underneath, something that cannot be done whilst mobile. Having said that Tom Tom DOES have speed cameras preloaded (they're not safety cameras despite govt/police propaganda).flatlander wrote: »TomTom are the best
