I have a ESS ( working ) for day care, he is also a Dyson on legs. If he is demanding/greedy about food, then I would get him a Kong/Biscuit ball so that he has to work for his food, and its not just there for him to eat ( how easy is that )by making him work for his food, he probs wont even realise that he is getting less than usual!

When I get a 15kg bag of chappie complete it lasts about 2.5 months...she is golden ret x collie and gets one cup of food in morning and one in evening - so overall very cheap to feed

She usually gets a treat each dinner time too so if she didn't have this I may feed her a little bit more.0 -
I'd say 15 kg of a decent food should certainly last minimum 6 weeks, more like 8 for a standard size spaniel with normal exercise. Kira is a GSD/BC cross and a 15 kg bag of Arden Grange lasts between 6-8 weeks depending on her exercise - longer if I have bulked her with rice and left over veg from our meals. We've also started adding fresh chopped carrots after people on here advised it. I used them as treats before and my mum used it for her GSD when she was on steroids and became a hoover overnight... But they are great for bulking and because they are crunchy they take a bit of effort to munch and that means she has to slow down her eating fest

Also - what our trainer has advised is that we take half of the food and soak it, when pack her kong with half and half wet/dry and give it to her through the day - so same allowance but over longer time... she thinks she's getting more and it takes her longer, but she's getting exactly the same amount

if it helps -a cup of dry food ie one mug is approx 100g of food. My pug has the natural dog food company puppy food and it says on the back that a 5-10kg dog should only have 100-200g of this specific product food a day so i give him 3 half cups a day (hes only 5months)0
