dearest andan, I was only teasing, don't you dare shorten your lists. They make me smile, I can never remember half the things I should do! Fay is quite right _ as always, your lists are interesting, it builds a picture of you in my mind, which is lovely. Hmm, I wouldn't mind being overpaid by £100, that'd be a bonus!
Actually I've remembered I did my paperwork this morning at 8am, how sad is that for a Sunday :rotfl:
I think we're becoming a little obsessed with the dots now, that's on top of the sparkling and the socks... mad as a box of frogs....(not sure about that saying!)
Poor Miss Piggy, it's horrid when the littleys are ill, the good thing is that they get better quickly and leave us feeling tired out for days :rolleyes:Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I too was only teasing...
I just can't be bothered writing a list today. I'm having the day off.
Hee Hee!

I know I am glad to have earned the money but I just find the rudeness of it unbeliveable. It's like they think because they have money they can do whatever they like. It probably didnt occur to them that I had a home to go to!!!!0

It is rude and worrying too. There comes a time in the evening when you start to wonder if something has happened and what you should do. The evening drags on while you're wondering as well. Still, I am glad they paid you well, you deserve it mbaz.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hi Everyone
Just got back from my parents. Had a lovely dinner - my mum is such a good cook. I also managed to cadge some rice from them. My parents buy massive sacks of rice let me full my tub when it runs out. They are so nice - I offer to pay them the equivalent cost however, they always refuse as I often help out with bits and bobs.
I've managed to do most of my tasks today - I don't list all of them on here however the ones above are the main ones! I am so tired. My flat really did need a good clean today and it looks loads better. I really must try to do a little on a regular basis rather than leaving it too long. I might try and lurk on the flylady thread on the O/S board this week to see if I can learn the habit of keeping everything tidy and clean!
Oh - I managed a NSD today as well - that's five now!
Andan - please do keep the lists going. I find them exhausting but inspiring.
Sophiesmum - glad you had a day to recover - they are a requirement sometime.
Miss Piggy (I used to have a Miss Piggy lunchbox when I was little! I loved it!) hope the little 'un is getting better. Why is it that kids always seem to get sick on weekends and holidays!
Right - off to finish the last bit of filing before I head off to bed.
See you all next weekend. Have a good week!

I am very happy for you to tease me bout my long lists:D and was not taking it to heart;), however i just didn't want to be putting any one off posting on here if my lists look a bit daunting:D
However i have had lots of practice!! I have pages of lists i used to create from as young as twelve when i would also write mamoth lists of things i was going to do that day, some as long as they are now. Although its all not sounding very good, i am now twenty five and so am wondering how far my long lists have got me, so far am not a millionaire and currently post on a dfw board where i often sit in my dressing gown because its so cold:rolleyes::rolleyes: Maybe short lists will be my way to superstardom, if only i could write them, alas i will have to sign up to being poor but productive for a while yet:rotfl::rotfl::j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Your completely right, it is inconsiderate, especially as they told you they were only going out for a meal, it does hurt when other people don't take your needs into consideration and respect you, especially as you know you would never do that to them.:(:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Will keep my ever so long lists then!!
I will remind you of what you said bout your lodger Fay, glad its going well though. We have enjoyed having foreign student, although some of them have had some habits that seem really strange to us. were really hoping though that we will be able to have the place to ourselves for a while, but in this economic climate, its not looking so great
I know its odd, its like living in dunno um a very clean tidy house (definately not ours!) and having to be dressed etc all the time (not that I advocate nudity) but i spent most of weekend in pjs an old tshirt and a jumper cos he wasnt here - and so I am veyr much appreciating the fact that he goes home at the weekends. But in reality we have at least one if not two spare rooms, and like you say - in the current climate and with fuel costs being so high - am beginning to wonder really if I can afford to have the rooms free.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Hi Andan
I, like you, used to write endless lists, but I learned a new way of list-writing! At the end of last year I was really struggling with my time management and I decided to take control of it. I found a really useful tip - write your lists based on your goals. That way you prioritise what helps you to achieve your goals and the other stuff is just 'stuff'. It helped me to see what was important - and what is important often changes.
There are quite a few books that you can use:
the one I used was called "Take Back Your Life!: Using Microsoft® Outlook® to Get Organized and Stay Organized: Using Microsoft Outlook to Get Organized and Stay Organized". This is about using outlook as your main tool. It is based on the Getting Things Done bood by DAve Allen.
Another book I found really useful was 'Your Best Year Yet' by Jinny Ditzler (what a great name!). This helps you to set 10 goals to help you to achieve what you really want. She suggests that if you have too many goals you are far less likely to succeed.
Can you tell I live my life by books! One of my main weaknesses!

Thanks urg for the book suggestions, i do tend to prioratise my jobs as i love productivity!! I used to split my lists into things i need to get done and things i'd like to do, however am still a terrible procastinator!! I know the Dave Allen book, I :Dhear people talking about him on my other fave website, Lifehack, which is all about productivity.
The Jenny Ditzler book sounds good and will try and get a copy of that one to read.
My love in life is lists, i even have a wish list which is a list compiled of all the things i would like to achieve in my life and every few months i review it. Like Jenny Ditzler says, i pick a few for the year or months that i would like to achieve!!:rotfl::rotfl:
I am sane i promise you:o
For me, writing lists on here means i am more inclined to do it and i get more done than if i didn't write a list.:D:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j
