lovely sunny day if it is still like it this afternoon, i shall go for a walk

minced beef and veg pie for lunch ( a mr S whoopsie :D ) with boiled potatoes, spring cabbage for lunch
just cleaned up from the remnents of DD2's sleepover, very lucky we still have a tele as they were running about and knocked into it and DD2 caught it before it toppled

DD1 decided to iron some trousers on the dining room carpet, the paperboy made her jump ( because she was only in bra and pants:o ) she dropped the iron and now we have a scorch mark on the carpet right under the window  so if anyone has any ideas on how to remove it I would be very grateful but I suspect we will need a new carpet , which is something we could well do without.

Me again .... mince is on ... but not much else done. Going to sort out washing when it's all done so don't have to keep doing it and can just get it done IYSWIM :p. Need mince saucepan to do chicken stew so going to have roast tonight instead of at lunch time and leftover tuna pasta bake for lunch - DD's want it with baked beans  who am I to argue :p

After lunch we're wrapping xmas pressies and writing DD's classmates cards. Providing there's no rain we might even make it out for a walk and to feed the ducks :T

DH gave DD and me a lift to designer outlet to look for a new winter coat for DD(23).

When we visited elderly aunt she was saying she needed a winter jacket short enough not to get bundelled up in the wheelchair but could not get to shops to try things on. DD's coat is only a couple of weeks old so I made her try that on and as she liked it gave it to her as an early Christmas pressie, promising DD another coat. Visited another aunt we have not seem for a couple of months and she is showing signs of Altzheimers and did not really recognise us so DH quite upset and will be talking to her sons who live near to her next week, As it is a 140 mile round trip we cannot do that much ourselves but try to get to see them when we can.

Found a nice long jacket for DD and some shoes that she liked so a successful morning.

Just finished lunch made in the slow cooker and the Remoska- Yorkshire pud and gravy to start, then roast potatoes, roast pork, mushy peas, green beans and gravy.

Have been checking my order with the approved foods website and due to kerfuffle with google checkout need to make sure I have not ordered stuff twice!!!

Dishes are in the dishwasher, hob has been cleaned, two loads of washing have been out on the line, another load of washing is in the machine and I feel I deserve a coffee!!!

Hugs to everyone who could do with one.

    Afternoon Everyone

Its a beautiful crisp winter day here.I took the kids to the park earlier to give them a chance to blow off some steam. It was packed in the park so everyone else must have had the same idea

Just finished washing up from lunch. We had Roast Pork with mash, cauli, carrots and swede. With a yummy scrummy apple and plum crumble for pud

Hubby had a long lunch break so came home for lunch too so all I have to do later is bake some muffins and hobnobs for next weeks lunchboxes and make sandwiches for tea.

Redruby you dirty little stop out you getting a hangover:rotfl: I could say I have no sympathy but I wont cos I'm dead jealous I cant remember the last time I got the opportunity to get drunk:beer:

Elona yorkshire pud with gravy for starters so reminds me of my granny as she was a yorkshire woman and we always had it that way and with the remains of the yorkshire pud spread with jam and sugar and served with custard for pud.Minus the gravy I might add:rotfl:

So Daniel went home last night and despite the fact he wasnt the best singer I kind of liked the guy and had respect for him over his attitude to fatherhood. But as soon as Rachel was in the bottom 2 with him I knew it was time for him to get voted out and I absolutely loathe Rachel as she's a mouthy mare with a bad attitude and plays the reformed junkie card on a regular basis.I really hope she doesnt win

    Afternoon all,

Had ten for breakfast this morning, big fry-up so not cooking any more to-day...there is soup and salad and lots of cheese and 'fancy' bread so that should be enough, only 4 for evening meal anyway so not really a problem.

Nothing happening here, not feeling too well to-day, missed a dose of medication yesterday so think it is that, drinking gallons of water seems to be helping so should be ok for the week of early starts and tidy ups.

    Have a nice evening all

Afternoon all - and a very grey and damp one it is too!
Sistercas - the only time we've ever claimed on our household insurance was the occasion on which I dropped an iron. As it was slap in the middle of our then open-plan living/dining room we had to have a whole new carpet!
have spent over an hour putting together the stand for our new TV - took 3 attempts before all the relevant washers etc were in the correct places. I hate all these picture instructions!
Have also managed to sandwich together the front, wadding and backing for DGD's quilt and empty the ironing basket.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

Afternoon everyone. Had a lazy day today, didn't get up until 9.30, picked the boy up from his mate's at 11, they went to their first big gig in London last night with mate's parents and didn't get home until 2am. Bullet for my Valentine apparently, no, I haven't heard of them either.

Hoovered & sorted a few bits and pieces out in the garden this afternoon, put washing on line for OH. Made some more vegetable soup in the slow cooker, bought a massive crustly loaf in bakers yesterday so it won't go to waste. Got some beef out of the freezer to defrost ready for stewing tomorrow, taking OH to hospital in morning,, so slow cooker coming into play again.

Going to put my feet up now & read the papers, watch Long Way Down, Top Gear & Stephen Fry driving around the USA. See, said it was a lazy day.
