Low Energy Light Bulbs!

I now have 33 of these planet-saving bulbs which is enough to last me until I am 127 years old - even though I use the bulbs everywhere except the fridge and the microwave oven!
This week alone I have received 12 of these low CO2 emission products: Two from Motability, four from WarmFront and six from Scottish Power. I never asked for them and I don't want them.
But how much CO2 will I save if they are never used? The answer is zero of course!! Meanwhile, there is always a danger they may break and release mecury vapour! Does that mean I will have to evacuate my house to save my life just because someone is intent on saving the planet?
I bet most of you don't know that you must not dispose of low energy bulbs or, indeed, any flourescent bulb with normal household rubbish. The government and local councils have seemed to overlooked these matters in its blinkered approach to the world's future!
Rant over.
Now, what can I do with all these bulbs?

Do not dispose of them in the rubbish as each one contains enough mercury to contaminate 10,000 litres of water.0

I do wonder whether when standard bulbs are phased out by the EU, a black market in them will appear. Maybe you should swap them all with conventional bulbs and then wait for the conventional ones to be phased out. Then you can sell the conventional ones to traditional lightbulb junkies who can no longer get their fix...
Sorry, have got an overactive imagination at the moment. Good luck with finding someone to take them! Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
