It def is always the way that things go wrong....ohwell. I was on the phone to my friend when it broke and she has dropped around her old phone for me to use till i get a new one!! :) so no rush now to get a new one (i really couldnt do with out one!) And i thought my dad always asks me what i need for xmas after my bday (on sat) so if he does i will ask for a new phone for me and hubby as a present together...so that will be a phone for xmas and a new washing machine from my mum and her husband (a joint bday and xmas for both of us and also we never ended up getting a present last year so she doesnt mind spending a little more this year!) Also might ask the inlaws for a new kettle, well i know that will then mean no 'nice' presents but it will all save us a lot of money, so will be worth it.....

Well i ended up cooking a chicken, ham and mushroom pie and I must say it was yummy and the girls ate all theres so couldnt of been to bad (hubbies is in the oven till he gets home so dont know his verdict yet...) but dd2 said i love pie as she munched it down. I had some ham in the freezer that needed using and the left over chicken from last night and the mushrooms wouldnt of lasted much longer..so im please with not waisting things :)

I will write a shopping list tonight so i can pop to mrT tomorrow without spending toooo much.. Also hubby got some xmas light at the weekend (which we didnt really need) and they dont work so going to take them back and just get a refund for the £18.

of to do some cleaning and then write some things on ebay!! i must do it!!

  • Just needed a little rant so thought i would come on here! not really mse but never mind anyway here goes :)
i ordered lots of presents from m&s on there last sale day, got a email after a week saying they were having difficulties but i would get my parcel by the 1st at the latest, well it turned up today and only has half of what i ordered in it!! Phone to ask when the rest would come and they have no idea on there systum if it has been sent out or not yet!! arrr. she said she would let some department know and they will find it out and if i havent received anything by next week to call them back and they should know by then!! I just think its such bad customer service!! the least they could do is say when they find out where the rest of my order is they will call me...but no!!
I really want it now as i have noticed that one of the presents i ordered says for over 14s and the boy i have got it for is only 12 i think...so might have to find something else, and i have prob mucked up on some of the other things aswell seeing as i didnt check if they were suitable age wise! ohwell........It a question of sport game? wondering if it will still be ok as he is into sport lots ......
    anyway rant over lol

Today i have not done very much for money saving but i tried a few surveys earlier and i wasnt suitable again :( will do some clicks later and i will try and add some things on ebay tonight, going to list lots (well as many as i can) of bundles of clothes and see how they go.....also got a few toys i will try and list....
So might get my bum in gear sort them all out tonight so they are all there and ready to put on tonight!!
Also was thinking i might go to the market after picking up dd from school as they might offer some things cheap rather then taking them away with them......as its the end of the day.
Tomorrow i think im going to go shopping with my mum so that will be really nice, she has seen a maternity coat (most shops do not really do many?!?!) that she thinks i might like, so if it fits and i like it i think she will get it for my bday! :) also meant to be getting some money from MIL for my bday sent in the post so if that comes in time ill get something for hubbies xmas do...

  • Glad to see your doing so well still. Keep up the good work!!!! :)
Just a mum trying to make things happen!
  • Thanks mummyonamission.

Today i did so well, im impressed if i say so myself!!lol. went shopping with my mum and only spent £2 on the parking and didnt buy ANYTHING all the time i was out. We went for lunch, step dads treat, was so yummy....and my mum spent a fortune!! she got lots of her xmas presents and also got the girls a few bits for xmas and dd2s bday. I looked at lots of lovely clothes for maternity but didnt get any even though i wanted something for dhs xmas do!! if i get some money for my bday i might go to the shops next week but otherwise ill just do with what i have got! must have something.......Also mum got me some cooky cutters that were on sale in wollies so going to get dd to make some nice cokkies for xmas bits for the hampers we will be making.

I got home and had so many parcels, two different neighbours had taken things in for me. One more bit from my m&s order came, and the wrapping cello and bows i ordered from ebay for the hampers have turned up aswell. I also had a free dvd, it has 6 films on so one has to be ok!!! going to give it to dh for a little xmas gift! I ordered him a present from the hut and they now have said its not garenteed for xmas delivery (should of checked that before i ordered it!!) but we will see hopefully it will turn up!

well best go and have a little look around the site and then go to bed as its my bday tomorrow and dds are sooo excited bless them so i guess they will be up early......

  • I have had such a lovely weekend and birthday!
yesterday it was my birthday and i got so many lovely things, i was really lucky! Got two pairs of boots, a everyday pair and a smarter pair. Which is lucky as i really needed a pair of everyday ones, the ones i have my feet get wet if it rains :( also got some jumpers which should fit over bump..... a handbag, overnight suitcase (which will be great as my hospital bag!) Also lots and lots more!!! I also got lots of money....my mum gave me some so i can get a maternity coat (the one i wear now will not do up in a week or two...) Everybody has said they want to see what i have got and make sure i use it for something for me etc etc...which is lovely but a part of me wants to pay of a little towards the cc or something...we will see. Ill treat myself to something im sure.. Also my nan gave me £50 for each of the girls for xmas which is lovely, i might put this in there bank accounts for when they need things, borning for them but they will get sooo much for xmas anyway i might aswell use it for important things like new shoes etc...

Today we went to a christmas market, it was really nice. Lots of people dressed up in edwardien (SP??) outfits. The girls got some sweet and won a car on some prize thing (DD1 was the one who played but the lady gave dd2 a prize aswell) Also got some xmas present for my mum, i spent under £10 in the end and got some bits she will love, some oils and home made chutney etc. They will go into her hamper..

Tomorrrow i have a mystery shop in the morning (for once it doesnt say anything about not having children!) I will also have a look out for some hampers and might pop to Aldi as ill be near to see if they have any good deals....might be able to get away with a tesco shop if i can get some bits???never know!

I got a email form M&S saying that i will get the rest of my order in three different parcels over the next few days (only have three things left so each in its own box,,,,they dont care about the postage!!)

Anyway going to go and have a look for some more xmas bits, need to fill out the mens parts of the hampers......

Oh before i go forgot to say, last night i used my Qype voucher for amazon and got a realy bargain!!so happy. I wanted a electric breastpump for this baby and the avent one i wanted sells for £85 so hadnt got it so far, last night it was on for £21.99!!!! today it is back at the real price so much of been a pricing error or somthing!! so got that and the flashing scooter dd wants for xmas and a present for nephew all for only £7 of my own money!!yeah...

  • ok just applied for internet banking for the abbey credit card, and found out the interest rate for it! 18.95 so will be trying to get that clear asap in the new yr! Also phoned up the tesco one as i was getting confused (easiely happens :) ) they had taken payment again this mth and not taken any interest of so i wanted to know when it would come of, got it in about june ish on 0% for a yr on balance transfers and )% for 3mths on purchases. Well they spent ages looking it up and keeping me on hold, then came back on told me i was on 0% for both purchases and balance transfere till sept next yr!! so thats good, means i can make sure abbey gets paid asap and not worry to much about the tesco one till abbey is paid of! will also be able to get the shopping on that and pay it off the card straight away so i get the extra clubcard points! :) makes it a little easier with 0%...i hope...

Anyway going to go and put the dinner in slow cooker for tonight, have a look for any surveys and do some clicks and the free online bingo. also got lots of house work to do! so best go get on...

I now have my mum and her dh and my great uncle coming round on boxing day and also might have the inlaws! so need to think of some food for them, ofcourse it will hopefully included some left over turkey!! and dont want to spend ages in the kitchen cooking and also dont have the room for everyone to sit around the table so was thinking buffet kind of foods but now need to start thinking and make a list........any ideas??
