Sorry, just looked at the figures a little more. It could be that this mtr ex is old and the meter was replaced when the reading reached 2537. Since you were estimated up to 4626 in Feb this year it could the the date you said was 1_5_7 is 1st May 2007 (and it would have been zero on the new mtr at the installation date).
    I agree.
You've possibly changed mtr types (Imperial to metric) so the actual cost you can expect is a little harder to work out, although it's certainly not the bill you have. There's a chance you've been over-charged to the extent that you may have paid too much in 2007 but don't get your hopes up yet, Eon will confirm this when you call.
Old meter will have been imperial or metric as given by the current bill, since this bill assumes the old meter is still in place.

I would stick my neck out and say that the current bill and previous bills back to the reading of 2537 would be withdrawn and zain now has to pay for readings from 0 to 229, less anything beyond the old meter reading of 2537 [ie 2537 to 3192].
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?

Gas mtr serial numbers are usually stamped on the meter under the plastic window you read the meter through.
The old mtr serial number is the 920 figure, your new mtr serial number should be the G4 number, all you need now is the date it was exchanged and Eon will be able to resolve it easily for you tomorrow.

Although your new meter serial number wasn't on the sticker it will be on the meter itself, near a barcode as above.
It may begin with G4 or E6. Make a note of this and pass it on when you phone up.
As your most recent bill still has the old serial number it is definately wrong, so don't pay it until they correct it.

If the call centre operator can't help say you need to talk to the meter exchanges team. They are the ones who actually resolve this.

I think Incisor is spot on in his last post with the readings and it may result in you having overpaid last year.

I called them today and they had already flagged it up as a problem. They took the final old meter reading and the new current meter reading from me and they will take 4-6 weeks for some reason?

That's a fairly typical timescale. They have to obtain certain info before they can amend the account. They should have put your account into dispute anyway which should stop any chase-ups generated by the system from today onwards.
