Morning all,
Damp here to-day, have tidied kitchen and loaded dishwasher...DS1 was on pancake duty this morning and managed to make a huge mess...worse than his father!
Going out for lunch at 1.30....was meant to be early dinner ( Ulick gets tired about 8pm) but there is rugby on...men can't miss out on Ireland- New Zealand match so have to have lunch instead of dinner...anyone who wants anything to eat later on can make do with sandwiches or whatever, not cooking to-day!
Enjoy your weekend all
Hugs to all in need or want

OddjobKIA thanks for the pickle recipe.I'll give it a go this afternoon but will have to use ground ginger as I dont have any root version in and don't fancy nipping out.

Morning everyone!
Got a storming headache, think it's cos I'm about to take dd1 and dd3 out clothes shopping, and pick up some Christmas stuff! Wish me luck!
OS wise, the dw is running and leftovers from last night have been put into old marg tubs ready for the freezer. Animals all fed and dog walked. dd2 has been dispatched off with friends for the day, and ds collected from his mate's house and dropped off at work.
Will pop back later to catch up with everyone, hugs to all xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Good Morning All
Congrats on the win N9eav
Well its bright and sunny in this part of Essex so will be OS and dry the washing on the line. 1 load finished - couple more to do.
Didnt do too bad at shopping yesterday - can cross a few more people off my list. Didnt see anything for DD to get her friends though - will have to look online. Was quite busy (went to Lakeside) and was glad to get home. Have to admit I treated myself to a Krispy Kreme Chocolate fudge donught which was lovely.
This morning have popped into a local town with DD who wanted some books from WHS. DS is at footie and I am cooking bacon in the Remoska for bacon sandwiches. OH has kindly hoovered the whole house and washed the floors.
I will get on with some ironing in a minute until I need to take DS to a football party this afternoon. Luckily its near the farm shop where I need to pick up another sack of potatos (such a bargain) and the butchers where I will get some meat for tomorrows roast.
Best go and check the bacon.
Have a great Saturday.

Morning peeps
bit late on here today as i got stuck in the kitchen early doors, i`ve made a huge pan of stew with lots of veg and turkey stock i was going to add some cooked chicken to it from the freezer once the stew had cooled but the meat that i defrosted turned out to be porki`ve added pasta instead and it tastes yummy so we shall have the pork tomorrow instead
Early this morning the weather was bright and breezy so i thought that we were in for a nice day but as soon as i took the hounds out the heavens opened so we are all sat here drying off now, i need to wash a load of dog towels later on today as we have used so many lately that i`m running low on clean ones, i do have lots of older towels that can be used but i try not to until they have been dyed, if i don`t dye all the doggie ones blue Mr Sunny can get confused  the microfibre ones will dry quickly so they get used more often than the traditional ones but i`ve still got a huge pile to wash.
I`ve been trying to type up my freezer list for the last two days so that i can get it pinned to the freezer door but i`ve not managed it yet, perhaps later i shall get the chance. Late shift again today and then Sunday off so this week Dad`s shopping will get done tomorrow and i shall just pick up some bits as my hugs Asda shop of staples will be arriving on Monday, i`ve no idea where it will all go as everywhere is crammed full but at least i have lots of bargains before any more price rises.
There is one thing that i just don`t understand - the price of petrol has been falling for a while now but the price of food hasn`t! I remember reading that the food price rose because of the transport costs so why isn`t the price of food falling too?
N9eav - Great news re your win, treat yourselves this weekend :j
Taplady - Congratulations on your exam results, you must be really pleased

Betheebee - I hope that you`re enjoying yourself with your family and friends

Have a super Saturday everyone.

Congratulations to N9eav and Taplady - well done both of you.
Well, I woke up later than usual and have had to catch up on things since I've been out of the house for the last couple of days. DH and I have just been food shopping so I have to put it all away in a minute then tidy up and get on with some written work I have a deadline for, so not much R&R today!
Dinner is going to be one of DH's fry-ups which I'm looking forward to.
Weather's not too bad; a lot warmer and no sign of rain at the moment but that could all change.
Work was busy but enjoyable because the practice is not taking on new patients at the moment, so the work is a lot steadier than it was when I last worked there. It used to be manic all the time and finally did my poor old head in! Still, there are still over 10,000 patients on the books which is plenty enough for just two dentists to cope with. Another full week next week (well, apart from Tuesday pm and all day Wednesday), then two days the following week and that will be my stint done. My boss was looking for another nurse when he asked me to do this cover but he has found one now so I don't think I'll be asked to go back permanently. I don't think I'd cope really because I have to do all DH's admin plus my own two work-from-home jobs, and it would be too much at my age! Anyway, for the next couple of weeks I'm earning some very welcome extra money.
Welcome to all the newbies I've missed lately and I hope everyone is well and having a great Saturday.
